Witchblade passes the Gauntlet around with Team-Up Variants this September

Image Comics and Top Cow have revealed a line-wide Witchblade Team-Up variant covers in celebration of the milestone Witchblade (2024) #25 issue’s premiere this September. Some of the biggest names in comics will put their artistic spin on Witchblade as its iconic characters make an appearance across the covers of some of Image’s most popular ongoing series.

Witchblade is a comic book series published by Top Cow Productions, which ran from November 1995 to October 2015 and December 2017 to January 2020. The series was created by Marc Silvestri, David Wohl, Brian Haberlin, and Michael Turner. The comic series was made into a TNT television series in 2001 and was directed by Ralph Hemecher and starred Yancy Butler as Sara Pezzini. Later, Top Cow and Japanese animation studio Gonzo produced an anime adaptation of Witchblade, which debuted in 2006.

Marguerite Bennett and Guiseppe Cafaro’s current run on Witchblade (2024) features a reimagined origin, with contemporary takes on familiar characters, as well as fresh story arcs to hook new fans and rekindle the energy and excitement that fueled the ’90s Image Revolution. New York City Police Detective Sara Pezzini’s life is forever fractured by her father’s murder. Cold, cunning, and hellbent on revenge, Sara now stalks a vicious criminal cabal beneath the city, where an ancient power collides and transforms her into something wild, magnificent, and beyond her darkest imaginings. How will Sara use this ancient power? …Or will she be consumed by it?

Skybound and Image Comics have revealed interior pages and the lineup of variant covers for Ghost Pepper #13, from creator/writer/artist/letterer Ludo Lullabi and colorist Adriano Lucas. The 2026 Eisner Award–nominated Best New Series kicks off its biggest story arc yet on July 29, 2026, as Ghost Pepper #13 launches a thrilling new chapter for Loloi and the world she fights to protect. 

The world needs a champion… but none remain. After the shocking events of last issue, a strange traveler emerges from the chaos, eager to taste Loloi’s famous spicy dishes… 

In addition to the main cover by Ludo Lullabi, the lineup of variant covers for Ghost Pepper #13 also includes open-to-order covers by Cedric Poulat and Cliff Rathburn, a 1:25 incentive variant cover by Mirka Andolfo, a 1:50 incentive variant cover by Alec Bezzina, and a blank sketch cover.

Ghost Pepper introduced readers to a reality where humanity survived a monstrous threat, but the world isn’t better for everyone. Every day Loloi hits the road to deliver her delicious cooking to the masses, outsmarting her treacherous competition and staying one step ahead of the massive robots “protecting” them all. But everything changes when she serves a mysterious warrior named Ash, whose secrets might just save the world…if his superhuman strength doesn’t destroy it first.

For every issue of this exciting new story arc there will be a 90s trading card-themed variant cover from acclaimed artist Cliff Rathburn, each “card” featuring a character from the Ghost Pepper cast, including Ax, the elusive new character debuting in this arc.

Skybound Reveals Fresh Covers for Ghost Pepper’s Spicy New Story Arc

Skybound and Image Comics have revealed a first look at covers for the second story arc of the hit comic book series Ghost Pepper, including the debut of rising star artist Frédéric Pham Chuong’s themed variant cover series. From creator/writer/artist/letterer Ludo Lullabi and colorist Adriano Lucas, the high-octane action series about forgotten heroes, cutthroat food trucks, and saving the world continues when issue #6 arrives in comic book shops on December 17, 2025.  

Each of the covers in the “action figure” themed variant cover series by Frédéric Pham Chuong depicts Ghost Pepper’s cast of characters encased in classic figure packaging for fans to collect and display as if it’s a pristine figure. This themed set will span the Cover C (1:10 incentive) variant cover slot for issues #6-12.
