Free League Publishing and Skybound launch Invincible – Superhero Roleplaying

Invincible – Superhero Roleplaying, the tabletop roleplaying game by Free League Publishing and Skybound Entertainment, is now live on Kickstarter.

This latest RPG from fan-favorite and multiple award-winning publisher Free League is based on Skybound’s groundbreaking comic book series Invincible by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, which is also a hit animated series on Prime Video.

Early backers who make a pledge for a physical reward within the first 48 hours of the Kickstarter launch will receive an exclusive cloth patch bearing their choice of the Invincible suit design or the symbol of the Viltrum Empire, home of Omni-Man, at no additional cost.

Backers can also download a completely free Quickstart PDF to get a taste of the game right away. This Quickstart will also be launched as a free content module on the Foundry virtual tabletop during the course of the campaign.

The Kickstarter will include a comprehensive Core Rulebook – in a standard and an exclusive Collector’s Edition – and a boxed Starter Set, both with illustrations by Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley and graphic design by Johan Nohr (MÖRK BORG).

Free League Publishing‘s new and beginner-friendly Starter Sets for The One Ring tabletop RPG and The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying 5E, based on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien and inexpensively priced at just $29.99, have been officially released.

These starter sets provide all you need to embark on your journeys in Middle-earth. Immerse yourself in a world set between the time of Bilbo’s first adventure and the events of The Lord of the Rings, exploring the Lone-lands of Eriador and taking on the roles of characters whose stories are yet to be told. Key features: 

  • Condensed rules for action resolution, combat, councils, and journeys
  • The complete adventure Over Hill and Under Hill, bringing the heroes deep into the wild lands of northern Eriador to face a dark threat

The Kickstarter for Free League and Titan Forge’s official Dragonbane miniatures is Live

The Kickstarter for official Dragonbane miniatures, based on the amazing art by Johan Egerkrans and David Brasgalla, is live! The Kickstarter is managed by the acclaimed miniatures maker Titan Forge in partnership with Free League, to launch a wide range of high-quality miniatures sets for the award-winning Dragonbane fantasy RPG.

The Northern Beasts miniatures sets will primarily focus on the monsters found in the Dragonbane Core Set and Bestiary, along with a range of heroes to face the horrifying beasts.

Each set will include an original mini-adventure by BJ Keeton and Free League, featuring the monster in question, giving players everything they need to drop the miniatures straight into Dragonbane campaigns. The models will also be available for 3D printing.

Gen Con 2025: Free League announces Twilight Sword, an Anime-Style RPG

Free League Publishing kicked off Gen Con 2025 with a flurry of announcements including Twilight Sword, a brand new anime-style RPG designed by the award-winning Italian games studio Two Little Mice and to be published by Free League.

Twilight Sword is inspired by classic video games like The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Ni No Kuni and by the animated movies of Studio Ghibli. In Twilight Sword, players take on the role of Champions who travel to bring back Hope to the lands of Radia.

Champions need to free the World free from Desperation, before they enter to the Fortress of Evil, where they can face the scourge Vardas in a battle for the fate of Radia.

Twilight Sword is planned for a 2026 release and will be a 11.5×21 cm hardcover book that opens into a perfect square. Each spread of the book is divided into squares and rectangles that keep all the information easily accessible!
