SDCC 2025: Marvel reveals the final wave of Age of Revelation Series including Expatriate X-Men, Cloak or Dagger, X-Vengers, and Undeadpool

This October, the world is reborn in the image Doug Ramsey, the heir of Apocalypse, in Age of Revelation! The event takes the Marvel Universe 10 years into the future where the Revelation Territories, a new mutant utopia, threatens an Earth ravaged—and transformed—by the mysterious X-Virus. This week, fans are learning how Revelation’s rise impacts the fate of the X-Men, the Avengers, and other Marvel heroes with new Age of Revelation series announcements.

Age of Revelation #0, a surprise prelude issue to the event, is available now at select retailers. Age of Revelation officially begins on October 1 in Age of Revelation Overture #1, a one-shot by current X-Men creative team, writer Jed MacKay and artist Ryan Stegman. Following that, Age of Revelation continues in new titles, including an evolution of the entire current X-Men line. So far, fans have learned about 13 Age of Revelation series and today, they can discover the final four, all hitting stands on October 29.

The new launches include Expatriate X-Men, a next generation X-Men team who directly opposes Revelation’s rule; Cloak Or Dagger, a bold twist on the iconic duo currently experiencing a surge in popularity thanks to Marvel Rivals; Undeadpool, which sees Deadpool consumed by an insatiable hunger for mutantkind; and X-Vengers, a new Avengers squad led by Dani Moonstar, featuring classic members transformed into mutants. Imperial War: Imperial Guardians #1 will be written by Dan Abnett, the influential storyteller behind Marvel space epics like Annihilation and War of the Kings, and drawn by Cory Smith, the acclaimed artist known for his work on Nova and more recently, Fantastic Four. Co-written by Hickman, all five Imperial War one-shots represent key chapters of the overall Imperial narrative and lay the foundation for upcoming series launching in this burgeoning cosmic landscape. Marvel reveals two Imperial War one-shots featuring Black Panther and Planet She-Hulk!

Next month, Imperial, a four-issue event series by visionary writer Jonathan Hickman and superstar artists Iban Coello and Federico Vicentini, kicks off a galaxy-spanning conflict, boldly transforming the cosmic landscape of the Marvel Universe. The highly anticipated series sets the stage for a new line of intergalactic storytelling, starting with five Imperial one-shots that spotlight individual characters and groups as they navigate the startling developments and explosive conflicts sweeping the stars.

These key chapters of the overarching Imperial narrative will each be co-written by Hickman with the first two hitting stands in August: Imperial War: Black Panther #1 by writer Victor LaValle and art by CAFU and Imperial War: Planet She-Hulk #1 by writer Stephanie Phillips and art by Emilio Laiso. Each features a cover by Francesco Mortarino.

The Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda is under fire from all sides in Imperial War: Black Panther!
