Fallout: Wasteland Warfare’s New Edition is Available for Pre-Order

Modiphius Entertainment has announced the pre-order is open for new Fallout: Wasteland Warfare starter sets, officially launching its new edition, a refined version of the much loved adventure wargame.

Originally released eight years ago, Fallout: Wasteland Warfare sees players exploring a generated wasteland, supported by a vast range of miniatures for an expansive and innovative wargame.

Building from the original sandbox philosophy, the new, second edition starter sets available for pre-order incorporate years of insights from the community. Modiphius Entertainment have refined the game that existing players know and love, to create a streamlined solo and cooperative adventure wargame that is accessible to new players, and which succeeds in offering an engaging narrative experience.

In Fallout: Wasteland Warfare’s second edition players emerge from a home settlement to procedurally explore a randomized wasteland around them, creating a campaign map of locations and enemies as they move around the map.

Combat encounters see their warband taking on mutants, wasteland wildlife, and other human factions as they fight for survival and supremacy in the post-atomic wastes quintessential to the Fallout franchise.

Players can play as one of four core factions on launch: Survivors, Super Mutants, the Brotherhood of Steel, and Wasteland Raiders, with more factions like the New California Republic and Caesar’s Legion being published later.

Modiphius’ extensive 32mm scale miniatures range will continue to be compatible with the new edition of the game, with core sets in multipart plastic kits, and its award-winning resin miniatures supplementing tabletop wastelands around the world.

Available to pre-order are two starter sets, Into the Wasteland, and Warbands.

Into the Wasteland

Into the Wasteland is a solo starter set that provides pre-existing players with everything they need to to play as the sole survivor of a vault. Players can assemble a warband, and then venture into the wasteland to uncover enemies and locations, and build the narrative of their experience as they play.

Into The Wasteland contains:

Warbands

For new players, or those wanting to expand their warband or play cooperatively or against another player, Warbands provides players with two PVC warbands of Survivors and Super Mutants to be assembled, offering everything needed for a solo or 2 player experience, making up 22 models in total.

SDCC 2026: The National Atomic Testing Museum examines history, gaming, and pop culture with “Making the World of Fallout at the Atomic Museum”

The National Atomic Testing Museum has announced it will bring history, gaming and pop culture together during a featured panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 24, exploring how Fallout, one of the world’s most iconic video game franchises, became the inspiration for an innovative museum experience. Hosted by the National Atomic Testing Museum in partnership with Bethesda Game Studios, Bethesda Softworks, and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), the discussion will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. and offer attendees an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the creation and future of the museum’s acclaimed “World of Fallout” exhibit. The panel will take place in Room 9 at the San Diego Convention Center.

Titled “Making the World of Fallout at the Atomic Museum,” the panel will examine how authentic Cold War history inspired the Fallout universe and how that fictional world, in turn, has inspired new audiences to engage with real history. Representatives from the National Atomic Testing Museum, Bethesda Game Studios, and UNLV will share how they transformed an ambitious idea into an exhibit that connects science, history and pop culture while expanding the museum’s reach to gamers, television viewers and longtime fans of the franchise. 

The National Atomic Testing Museum will discuss the vision behind “World of Fallout,” including how the exhibit interprets real atomic history through the lens of contemporary entertainment and why the museum embraced an unconventional approach to historical storytelling. Bethesda Game Studios will provide insight into the partnership’s origins, why collaborating with the National Atomic Testing Museum was a natural fit for the Fallout franchise and how the exhibit continues to evolve. UNLV’s Entertainment Engineering and Design program will showcase how students helped bring key exhibit elements to life while gaining hands-on experience through a fast-paced, real-world creative project that bridged classroom learning with professional practice.

Moderated by Michelle Helms, director of communications for the National Atomic Testing Museum, the panel will feature:

  • Scott Wade, author and vice chairman of the National Atomic Testing Museum
  • Matt Malinowski, director of exhibits and engagement for the National Atomic Testing Museum
  • Matt Clinkscales, associate vice president of global marketing for Bethesda Game Studios
  • Jessica Finster, senior director of community for Bethesda Softworks
  • Michael Genova, director of UNLV’s Entertainment Engineering and Design program.

Attendees will also receive an exclusive preview of the major expansion planned for the “World of Fallout” exhibit later this year.

Dedicated to preserving the history associated with the Nevada Test Site, now known as the Nevada National Security Sites, and the nation’s nuclear weapons program, the National Atomic Testing Museum continues to find innovative ways to connect history with contemporary culture. Its partnership with Bethesda Game Studios demonstrates how museums can use beloved entertainment franchises to spark curiosity about real-world events, while its collaboration with UNLV highlights the power of experiential education to prepare the next generation of designers, engineers and creative professionals. Solo Fallout RPG: Wasteland Wanderer is Now Available for Pre-order

Modiphius Entertainment has launched the pre-order for the anticipated solo edition of Fallout The Roleplaying Game: Wasteland Wanderer.

Based on Bethesda’s hugely successful Fallout series, Wasteland Wanderer allows players to record their adventures and play an RPG in the wasteland without the need for a group or gamemaster.

Wasteland Wanderer is based on Modiphius’ 2d20 system and procedurally generates the story for players. It allows them to explore the wasteland as their character emerges from a Vault-Tec vault, immersing them in the post-atomic United States.

To play Wasteland Wanderer, players go through rounds involving four stages: Travel, Encounter, Action, and Journaling, where they roll d20s to generate where they go, what happens there, decide what they do, all using tables to procedurally generate the story as they go.

Available for £40 / $55 / €45, Fallout The Roleplaying Game: Wasteland Wanderer is expected to ship in April 2026.

With this 256-page, full-color, royal-sized hardcover guide players can:

Modiphius Announces ‘Fallout: Power Play’ Card Game

Publisher of tabletop RPGs, wargames, and board games, Modiphius Entertainment Ltd. has launched the pre-order for the card game, Fallout: Power Play. Fallout: Power Play is a light strategy card game for 2-4 players designed by Resurrectionist Games.

In Fallout: Power Play, each player takes control of one of four iconic Factions from the Fallout Universe; the Brotherhood, Raiders, the Enclave and Super Mutants. They compete to gain control over various locations within the Wasteland, placing Agents to gain influence and undertaking Quests to gain bonuses throughout. Players can also make use of Power Play cards to quickly shift the dynamic of a game, disrupting the plans of their opponents and cementing their control.

But, all good plans fold when exposed to the Wasteland, as each turn a randomly drawn Wasteland card brings an unpredictable change to the game; from sudden atomisation to a surly deathclaw rampaging through your home base! Quick to learn but hard to master, Fallout: Power Play encourages players to play politics, embody their Faction, and do all they can to control the Wasteland.

Mr. Handy “Snip-Snip” gets a statue from Dark Horse Direct

The robotic relic of the pre-war era has never lost its eagerness to serve, courtesy of General Atomics International and Robco Industries. The Mr. Handy Mark IV unit known as “Snip-Snip” resides at the Super Duper Mart, conveniently repurposed to harvest the organs of wasteland wanderers. And as long as his nuclear fusion core remains intact, one never has to worry that he will lose his willingness to get the job done.

Snip-Snip is depicted gingerly lifting up a sheet, revealing his surgical tools and bloody remains of previous victims patients. Standing at 14.25” tall and on a 11.25” wide base reminiscent of the Super Duper Mart flooring. On the Mr. Handy “Snip-Snip” Statue, detailed and sculpted by Substance Model Works, Snip-Snip’s eyes and TV monitor light up, and the statue includes 7 voice lines as delivered by voice actor Matt Berry. Display the sights and sounds of Fallout when the VHS tape is pressed on the VCR to control the TV and lights.

Fallout: Royal Flush is coming later 2025 and Fallout gets a solo TTRPG game, Lone Wanderer

Publisher of tabletop roleplaying games, wargames and board games, Modiphius Entertainment has shared that the previously announced campaign book for the popular tabletop roleplaying game for Bethesda’s Fallout, Royal Flush will now be released in Q4 2025.

Royal Flush takes players back to New Vegas and the Mojave Wasteland, where they will discover and attempt to dismantle a plot to bring war back to the West. Starting in New Reno—as all good stories do—by finding a body in a ditch, the players will deal with the criminal underbelly of the city, hired to find out what happened, and investigating the sudden boom in military grade firearms suddenly in the hands of the least likely, and most bloodthirsty, groups in the area. With so many bullets available, old tensions begin to rise, and it is only a matter of time before that much firepower causes the entire Mojave to explode, unless someone does something about it. The campaign book will give players the opportunity to visit New Vegas and explore a new region of the Mojave.

The publisher has also announced that a solo roleplaying title is in development under the name Lone Wanderer. Based on Bethesda’s hugely successful Fallout series, it will use a similar format to the popular Modiphius game, Star Trek Adventures’ Captain’s Log, allowing players to record their adventures and play an RPG in the wasteland without the need for a gamemaster.

Lone Wanderer will be based on the 2d20 System, and will procedurally generate a story for players that allows them to explore the wasteland as their character emerges from a Vault-Tec vault, immersing them in the post-atomic United States without a group or GM. Players will also be able to play as a number of other Fallout characters, like survivors, ghouls, super mutants, and robots.  The solo edition is due to be released in 2026.

Modiphius also has plans to develop and publish sourcebooks for the tabletop RPG that delve further into the history and geography of the different discrete areas of the wasteland, from New California and the Mojave, to the Capital Wasteland, the Commonwealth, and the Appalachian Wasteland.

Each product is available as a digital STL file, suitable for printing on most consumer and professional 3D resin printers. Modiphius is one of the few tabletop gaming companies that offer significant support for print-at-home, and is the only publisher doing it for licensed games such as Fallout. The latest model release consists of:
