Heavy Metal is excited to announce a host of ambitious Summer titles ready for pre-order by June 24th, effectively introducing what promises to be a new age of innovation and creativity for the publisher, beginning with the landmark 300th issue. “I love fantasy-action and I wanted to create something that would appeal to newer fans of the genre while tackling an elevated story,” said Sprouse. “The characters I wrote are from actual tales and bardic songs, and the story is about the adult, dark, grotesque, and somber world of Suneater and its desperate, faulty protagonist. While I have been actively writing Suneater for years, the culmination of the content rings especially true for me now, at this stage of my life.”

Titan Comics has released a first look at the interior art from the Fighting American revival which hits stores on October 11 – co-creator Joe Simon’s birthday!

Joe Simon & Jack Kirby’s legendary Cold War hero is back in comics courtesy of writer Gordon Rennie and artist Duke Mighten.

As shown in the first look at interior pages by Duke Mighten, the duo of Fighting American and Speedboy are mysteriously transported to the modern world of 2017 – a far cry from the Cold War era they lived in.

How will they handle what society has become? And what new dangers will this bring?

Joe Simon & Jack Kirby’s Fighting American To Debut At San Diego Comic-Con!

Titan Comics has announced that fans attending San Diego Comic-Con will be able to get a first look at Titan Comics’ new Fighting American series with a convention special Issue #0 featuring a black and white pencil cover by comic book legend, Terry Dodson!

Joe Simon & Jack Kirby’s Fighting American first appeared in May 1954, and was the embodiment of the homegrown, patriotic, apple pie-eating American superhero. Fighting American brought square-jawed justice to “the Commies” and villains such as Double Header, Hotsky Trotsky, and Round Robin.

In Titan Comics’ new Fighting American series, written by Gordon Rennie with artwork by Duke Mighten, the story continues after Simon and Kirby’s legendary 1954 series…

Titan Comics are proud to present a first look at this brand-new Fighting American series with an Issue #0 – containing a preview of Fighting American #1, and numerous back matter features that go inside the new series including; an interview with writer Gordon Rennie, character sketches by Duke Mighten, as well as the complete origin story of the red, white, and blue hero by Simon & Kirby! Plus, this 24-page comic comes with a special black and white pencil sketch of Terry Dodson’s cover to Issue #1.

This special edition is available to purchase at the Titan booth #5537 at San Diego Comic-Con 2017. Fans will also have the unique opportunity to get their comic signed by cover artist Terry Dodson at Titan booth #5537 on Friday 21 July at 1PM.
