Alien and Predator Clash Again in Thicker Than Blood

Starting this December, a terrifying new series will once again pit the iconic Aliens and Predators against each other. From Dark Horse Comics comes Alien vs. Predator: Thicker Than Blood, written by Jeremy Barlow, illustrated by Doug Wheatly, and lettered by Michael Heisler, with the cover illustrated by Chun Lo

Alien vs. Predator: Thicker Than Blood kicks off when Predators board a luxury charter spaceship, unleashing a path of terror and bloodshed. An adolescent girl and her younger “brother” are the last to survive and begin a cat-and-mouse chase with the attackers. They hope for an escape, but they haven’t counted on the Alien . . .

Alien vs. Predator: Thicker Than Blood #1 (of four) goes on sale December 11, 2019.

Review: King Tiger #3

King Tiger #3In the ruins of a once-thriving city, King Tiger battles alone against the Dragon and its brood. It’s a fight he must win if he is to confront the most damning secret of his life—a secret made monstrous, all-devouring flesh. If Tiger falls, so does the world!

While the limited series King Tiger is so close to completion, it seems far from over. By either sheer luck, or utter courage King Tiger escapes the clutches of his father. Unfortunately his landing, brings several henchmen with him. They try to get him back, but fail as the monstrous creature destroys Las Vegas. In an almost cliche fashion, King Tiger tries to stop it.

In a similar manner to the last one issue, the artwork by Doug Wheatly is colorful. Even the non-human characters seem to be drawn with more confidence, as they fill bigger roles than just henchmen. That really brings them into a larger focus. Now that everything seems to go wrong in the story by Randy Stradley (read it and found out why), the art work is really bought into a vibrant balance.
