The Original Space Usagi Trilogy Continues with Space Usagi: Warrior

Dark Horse Comics and Dogu Publishing continue the action-packed adventures of the spacefaring rabbit ronin in a full-color edition of Space Usagi: Warrior. The beginning of the end starts now in this final part of the original trilogy of Space Usagi stories, which began with Death and Honor and White Star Rising, this three-issue miniseries created by Stan Sakai is now available in full color for the first time, featuring colors by Emi Fujii. Also included in each issue is a brand-new three-part backup story from Ringo-nominated creator Shawn Daley, giving fans even more reason to collect this full-color series when it arrives in comic shops in January 2027.

After the unexpected death of his father, young Lord Kiyoshi is on a mission to secure his reign and collect the hidden Shirohoshi clan treasure, with friend and protector Miyamoto Usagi at his side. But when space pirates and shape-shifting aliens interrupt the mission, a straightforward task becomes a battle of life, death, and honor! 

Then, in a special new three-part backup story by Shawn Daley, Usagi is stranded on a strange planet where unbreakable crystals hide a dark secret.

Usagi Yojimbo Winter Special delivers Three All-New Stories

Dark Horse Comics and Dogu Publishing offer fans of the legendary rabbit ronin a winter special unlike anything before. The Usagi Yojimbo Winter Special One-Shot is a collection of three all-new stories from three creative teams including Usagi Yojimbo creator Stan Sakai and colorist Emi Fujii, Chibi Usagi creator Julie Sakai, and the creative team behind Usagi Yojimbo: Kaitō ’84, Zack Rosenberg and Jared Cullum. These three stories arrive in January 2027.

While learning to shape decorative Dorodango spheres according to ancient tradition, Usagi learns a lesson about patience, practice, and purpose, a reminder that simple beauty can take a lifetime to perfect. 

For Kaitō and Yu, the holidays deliver more than they bargained for when an orphanage’s Christmas Eve dinner is hijacked by a local street gang. It’s a high-speed, high-calorie chase through the snowy streets of Osaka that leads to a messy conclusion. 

Elsewhere, chibi woodcutters struggle to prepare for the New Year celebration dinner. But one snowy night, an act of kindness leads to an extraordinary surprise.
