SDCC 2024: A Classic DC Logo Returns

DC has returned to a classic logo for DC Studios, comics, toys, and more. The “bullet” logo for DC is back with a bit of an update. The logo originally designed by Milton Glaser, will be used across the board, debuting in October. The logo has replaced the previous one of social networks for DC as a whole but the most recent logo is still present on the DC website. The beloved logo was the seventh logo for the comic publisher and used from 1977 to 2005.

Co-head of DC Studios James Gunn looks to be a driver of the change. A motion graphic that will appear before movies was also debuted during at panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

James Gunn releases a tease of David Corenswet as Superman

We’ve gotten a better look at David Corenswet as Superman in James Gunn‘s upcoming reboot, Superman. The suit is a bit darker than previous iterations but moves away from the design from Zack Snyder’s take. One noticeable change is the lack of molded muscle, giving a more natural suit that’s much more reminiscent of Christopher Reeve’s suit.

Superman will be released on July 11, 2025.
