The Death Star is destroyed. Darth Vader is dead. The Empire is desolate. But on the forest moon of Endor, among the chaos of a changing galaxy, time stands still for a princess and her scoundrel.

After being frozen in carbonite, then risking everything for the Rebellion, Han is eager to stop living his life for other people. He and Leia have earned their future together, a thousand times over. And when he proposes to Leia, it’s the first time in a long time he’s had a good feeling about this. For Leia, a lifetime of fighting doesn’t seem truly over. There is work still to do, penance to pay for the dark secret that she now knows runs through her veins. Her brother, Luke, is offering her that chance—one that comes with family and the promise of the Force. But when Han asks her to marry him, Leia finds her answer immediately on her lips . . . Yes.

Yet happily ever after doesn’t come easily. As soon as Han and Leia depart their idyllic ceremony for their honeymoon, they find themselves on the grandest and most glamorous stage of all: the Halcyon, a luxury vessel on a very public journey to the most wondrous worlds in the galaxy. Their marriage, and the peace and prosperity it represents, are a lightning rod for all—including Imperial remnants still clinging to power.

Facing their most desperate hour, the soldiers of the Empire have dispersed across the galaxy, retrenching on isolated planets vulnerable to their influence. As the Halcyon travels from world to world, one thing becomes abundantly clear: The war is not over. But as danger draws closer, Han and Leia find that they fight their best battles not alone, but as husband and wife.

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns: DC Compact Comics Edition is a solid new edition to a classic

Regarded as one of the greatest Batman stories of all time, master storyteller Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns is the perfect graphic novel for longtime comic book fans and new readers alike!

Writer/artist Frank Miller completely reinvents the legend of Batman in this saga of a near-future Gotham City gone to rot, 10 years after the Dark Knight’s retirement. Forced to take action, the Dark Knight returns in a blaze of fury, taking on a whole new generation of criminals and matching their levels of violence. He is soon joined by a new Robin—a girl named Carrie Kelley, who proves to be just as invaluable as her predecessors.

Can Batman and Robin deal with the threats posed by their deadliest enemies after years of incarceration have turned them into perfect psychopaths? And more importantly, can anyone survive the coming fallout from an undeclared war between the superpowers—or the clash of who were once the world’s greatest heroes?

Sean Murphy’s Batman: White Knight is collected with a DC Compact Comics edition

Batman: White Knight follows the man now known as Jack Napier as he embarks on a quest to heal the city he once terrorized. After reconciling with his long-suffering partner, Harley Quinn, he sets in motion a carefully plotted campaign to discredit the one person whom he views as Gotham City’s true enemy: Batman.

Batman: Gotham By Gaslight gets a solid DC Compact Comics edition featuring two tales

Step into the shadows of Victorian Gotham where the Dark Knight confronts Jack the Ripper and a mad prophet in this genre-defining Elseworlds classic.

Before Elseworlds became a staple of DC storytelling, there was Gotham by Gaslight. This groundbreaking tale transports Batman to the gaslit streets of 19th-century Gotham, where he faces the terror of Jack the Ripper in a battle of wits and shadows. With its dark, atmospheric visuals and gripping narrative, this story redefined the boundaries of Batman’s world.

The saga continues with Master of the Future, a thrilling sequel where Batman contends with a deranged prophet seeking to halt Gotham’s evolution into the 20th century. Both stories deliver a unique blend of gothic aesthetics and superhero intrigue.

This volume collects Batman: Gotham by Gaslight #1 and Batman: Master of the Future #1.

We3 is an interesting concept but not Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely’s best work

Bandit the dog, Tinker the cat, and Pirate the rabbit were once ordinary pets—until they became WE3, government-engineered cyborg assassins with terrifying firepower. When the trio is slated for decommission, they escape, embarking on a desperate journey to find “home” in a world that now sees them as weapons of mass destruction.

Relentlessly pursued by their creators and hunted by terrifying new cyber-enhanced foes, WE3 must rely on their instincts, their bond, and their enhanced abilities to survive. This gripping tale of loyalty, survival, and the cost of freedom will leave readers breathless and deeply moved.

This volume collects We3 #1-3.
