Have you wondered what a 5-foot iron, chained mace would look like in action? James Hobson, a.k.a. the Hacksmith, is using his engineering skills to team up with Kabam and bring to life a destructive, one-of-kind item – the Morningstar. The prototype was inspired by the original Marvel character – Morningstar – created exclusively for the award-winning, mobile fighter MARVEL Contest of Champions.

Queen Haasen conquered and ruthlessly ruled over her kingdom of Languria with only a few mercenaries, and a demonic sword. But her people rebelled against the Queen’s reign of fire and blood, and sealed her within a mystical iron maiden to suffer for all time. When Mephisto offered her a chance for vengeance, the Prince of Lies granted her new life in the tortured form of her walking iron tomb, and the weapon for which she is named: Morningstar.

Dragon Man was a lifeless android constructed by Professor Gregson Gilbert, then brought to life by Diablo through a combination of Science and Alchemy. Dragon Man spent much of his existence being manipulated into combat by Heroes and Villains alike, until Valeria Richards upgraded his Programming. Now with both super-intellect and immense strength, Dragon Man acts as a guardian for the children of the Future Foundation.

The search continues. Or does it? Join the Ranks of Alpha Flight and become Champion with Sasquatch as he swings and slashes his way into The Battlerealm in Kabam’s MARVEL Contest of Champions.

Dr. Walter Langkowski was a professor of both physics and biophysics at McGill University. Trying to achieve a “Hulk-like” transformation similar to colleague Bruce Banner, Langkowski subjected himself to self-experimentation with gamma radiation. Unknowingly opening a doorway between our world and the “Realm of Great Beasts”. This allowed a mystical beast named “Tanaraq” to possess his body, granting him the ability to transform into a super-strong, orange-haired beast that resembled the legendary Sasquatch.

The Hacksmith and Marvel Contest of Champions Deliver Captain America’s Arc Reactor Shield

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you combined Captain America’s shield with an Arc Reactor? James Hobson, a.k.a. The Hacksmith, is using his engineering skills to team up with Kabam and bring to life an iconic, one-of-kind item – Captain America’s Arc Reactor Shield. The prototype was inspired by the original Marvel character – Civil Warrior – created exclusively for the award-winning, mobile fighter MARVEL Contest of Champions.

There are many rumors about the origin of the mysterious Civil Warrior… legend says he is a Captain America from an alternate Earth ravaged by the Civil War between his own army and Iron Man’s forces. In that world, the two heroes mortally wounded each other in the final battle of the war; Steve survived, but Tony didn’t. Riddled with guilt for the battle’s destruction and the death of his former ally at his own hands, he assumed the mantle of the Civil Warrior. Adding Tony’s ARC technology to his Captain America gear, he vowed to use his friend’s legacy to stop this senseless conflict from ever happening again.

Fleeing the consequences of his actions, Hudson became Guardian, the founding member of Canada’s elite team of superhumans known as the Alpha Flight, defenders of the True North.

Oh Canada! Guardian and Sasquatch are Coming to Marvel Contest of Champions

The Contest continues as Kabam has debuted an all-new motion comic teasing two new Champions coming to the popular mobile brawler MARVEL Contest of Champions– Guardian and Sasquatch.

A strange smuggling ring is moving Crystals around The Battlerealm and has caught the attention of two members of Canada’s Alpha Flight, Guardian and Sasquatch! They set out to investigate this phenomenon, though unbeknownst to them, a mysterious benefactor is watching as they dig deeper into the unknown.

What are the intentions of this mysterious person and what do they plan to do with these Crystals? Join up with the team of Canadian Champions as they work together to unravel the mystery, and maybe find a house hippo or two along the way!

Both characters will arrive to the game in July.

The Dapper and Deadly Hit Monkey and Tigra Joins Marvel Contest of Champions!

The adept hunter Hit Monkey officially joins The Contest alongside his fierce partner Tigra in Kabam’s Marvel Contest of Champions video game. Kabam partnered with famed YouTube humorist Ze Frank (True Facts series) to narrate Hit Monkey’s Samurai’s Journey, a special Motion Comic detailing the two new Champions!

Ah ah, ook oooh ah ah. Ook eek ah ooooh, oh ah eek eeeeek. Ook ah. Ah ooh ooh, ah ooh ahh ah. Eek eeeeek! Eek ooh, oooooooh ah ahhh. Ook oh, ah ah ooh. Aaack ahhh, eek eek oh! Oh oh, ahh oh ah.

Gwenpool here! It’s a good thing I speak Macaque! This dapper little guy was just an ordinary monkey, until his tribe gave sanctuary to an on-the-run assassin. Mercenaries came and killed both the assassin, and the rest of Hit-Monkey’s tribe! So Hit-Monkey took up the fallen assassin’s weapons and swore vengeance against both those responsible, and all others who call themselves mercenaries.

He’s the Soviet equivalent of Captain America – a symbol of Russia’s strength and patriotism. Limber up and take down your adversary with Red Guardian as heenters The Battlerealm in Kabam’s MARVEL Contest of Champions. His character design is inspired by Marvel Studios’ Black Widow in theaters on November 6th.

Alexei Shostakov was one of the Soviet Union’s most acclaimed pilots, crediting them with air supremacy over the skies of Stalingrad and Kursk during World War II and thus granting him national recognition. As the Cold War flared, Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev determined the Soviet Union needed its own equivalent to Captain America and seeing Shostakov’s popularity, chose him to fill that role. The KGB then faked his death, training him in secret and turning him into a master of hand-to-hand combat and a highly skilled athlete.

Black Widow Joins the Contest – MARVEL Contest of Champions

She was forged as a tool, trained to push both body and mind to the limit. Complete your mission and become Champion with Black Widow as she enters the contest on Kabam’s MARVEL Contest of Champions. Her character design is inspired by Marvel Studios’ Black Widow in theaters November 6th.

Recruited into the KGB at an early age and trained in the Red Room, Natasha Alianovna Romanoff developed into one of the world’s greatest and most ruthless assassins. After drawing the attention of Nick Fury, she was recruited to join S.H.I.E.L.D. at Clint Barton’s recommendation, even going on to become a founding member of The Avengers. Following the events of The Avengers Civil War, Romanoff is forced to confront the darkness of her past in the Red Room and the possibility of future generations of Black Widow assassins.

It’s Red By Dawn as Black Widow and Red Guardian Enter the Battlerealm of Marvel Contest of Champions

Tools break. Weapons fail. But Champions… endure. The Contest continues as Kabam debuted an all-new motion comic teasing two new Champions coming to the popular mobile brawler MARVEL Contest of Champions– Black Widow and Red Guardian. These character designs are inspired by Marvel Studios’ Black Widow in theaters on November 6th. Here is a quick look at what the Contest has in store this upcoming month:

In the wake of the Cabal’s collapse, Black Widow has been tasked with locating and recovering a lost mind control weapon. To accomplish her mission, Agent Romanoff will need the help of an old friend. Red Guardian is a fellow former soviet and an honorable and trustworthy ally. However, they soon discover that they are not the only ones chasing the lost Cabal technology. A secretive mastermind has employed the skills of Taskmaster, the photo-reflexive mercenary, to stop Black Widow from finding this weapon at all costs!

It’s a race across The Battlerealm, with new foes to fight and where old allegiances will be tested in this month’s Event Quest: Black Widow: Red By Dawn!

Both characters will arrive to the game in May, and fans can now check out the all-new motion comic!
