Marvel Contest of Champions Welcomes New Side-Quests, Colosseums, and Battlegrounds Season

This spring season, Kabam is introducing new Champions, Side-Quests, and Coliseums to give you more chances to test your team and get rewards on their popular mobile fighter Marvel Contest of Champions.

SPRING INTO THE CONTEST WITH ALL-NEW SUPERVILLAINS

Genetic engineer Lester Verde AKA DOCTOR BONG is joining The Contest alongside the brilliant, megalomaniacal criminal RUBY THURSDAY!Players will have the opportunity to obtain Ruby Thursday on April 9 , while Doctor Bong can be obtained on April 23 or acquire Doctor Bong by completing objectives to receive milestone prizes during his 3-month long Double Track event beginning April 8.

With over 300 Champions in The Contest, players can also add other classic Marvel Super Heroes and villains such as Blade, America Chavez, Howard the Duck, She-Hulk, and more.

RUBY THURSDAY

This villain augmented her head with a mass of organic circuitry and joined forces with the Headmen (a group of megalomaniac villains with unusual heads). Ruby and the Headmen seek world domination via a myriad of unorthodox methods.

DOCTOR BONG

Lester Verde overcame trials both large and inconvenient to become Doctor Bong! He is a supervillain without parallel and a supergenius with advanced knowledge of genetic engineering.

★      EVENT QUEST: Bong Voyage [April 8–May 3]: Howard the Duck and She-Hulk are answering a mysterious call for help from the “Bar With No Name”. Faceless foes, strange stages, and mysterious miscreants await as the forces of RUBY THURSDAY and DOCTOR BONG look to recruit villains! Will this plot become a wild goose (or duck) hunt?

ACT 9 CHAPTER 4 – AN EPIC CONCLUSION

This epic chapter of The Contest is approaching its end! So much has been lost and so much is still on the line. Carina Tivan, daughter of Elders and leader of Heroes, shall gather her forces for one final push against this time and space defying foe. Will her plan be enough, or is this just another chance for this serpent to coil around the core of this multiverse? Players, prepare a team of your greatest Champions and find out in Act 9–Chapter 4: REDEMPTION launching April 15.

Your Champions are mighty, your Roster is ready… but can you get even MORE powerful? It’s time to step into the spotlight and flex against your foes as you find that this Saga is embracing some mean muscle-bound mayhem. Get flexing with the newest “PUMP IT UP” Saga kicking off on April 6th.

SDCC 2024: Marvel Contest of Champions celebrates 10 years and teams with Google Play to take rewards to new heights

Marvel Contest of Champions, the hit mobile action game from Kabam, and Google Play are teaming up during San Diego Comic-Con – kicking off the game’s 10th Anniversary celebrations this year – to reward Google Play Points members with a supercharged fan experience, both at the convention and online on Google Play.

Introducing the Google Play WHEEL OF CHAMPIONS – a larger than life prize wheel rising high above the skyline from July 25-28 at the Martin Luther King Jr Promenade, located next to the Hilton Gaslamp in San Diego. 

At the Google Play WHEEL OF CHAMPIONS fan experience, playing is your ticket to ride! Iron Man Remastered and Fan Voted Gladiator Enter Marvel Contest of Champions

Kabam unveiled two fan-favorite Super Heroes to their popular mobile fighter MARVEL Contest of Champions – A remastered version of the iconic Iron Man that was first introduced in 2014, in addition to the Summoner’s Choice (fan voted) Champion Gladiator! Watch the two Super Heroes battle it out in an all-new Champion Reveal Trailer “Echoes in Eternity.” With over 250 Champions in The Contest, players can also add other classic Super Heroes and Villains from Captain America and Hulk to Doctor Doom, Scarlet Witch and more.

Beginning Sept. 6, players will now have the ability to Ascend their Champions with the all-new Ascension feature! Ascension lets you power-up your 4,5 and 6-Star Champions beyond their current power level by utilizing a new resource called Primordial Dust. Which Champions will you be Ascending?

Gladiator and Iron Man must team up against the seemingly unstoppable Masters of Evil! Baron Zemo is back, and this time he’s perfected his homemade ISO-Sphere and has set his eyes on conquering The Battlerealm. Can these heroes defeat Zemo without succumbing to the power of the ISO-Sphere?

CHARACTER BIOS

This month, in lieu of a second Champion, we’ve taken the time to give Iron Man, a Champion that was available when we launched the game in 2014, a total overhaul! He’s got a shiny new look, brand new animations, and a completely overhauled set of abilities! And best of all, if you already have him on your roster, you’ll be receiving the upgrade! The new and improved Iron Man will replace the Original Iron Man in-game when you update to v41.1.

The Summoner’s Choice Champion has arrived! After proving his worth as a mighty warrior, Kallark of Strontia took on the mantle of Gladiator and became the renowned leader of the Shi’ar Imperial Guard. Despite the Strontian’s near limitless power, he is one of the last of his kind and honors his people’s memory by serving as personal bodyguard to the Shi’ar Majestor and Majestrix. He is one of the galaxy’s greatest heroes, provided you are aligned with the goals of the Shi’ar Empire.

Set your reminders! For players who already have Iron Man in their roster, they will receive the remastered version on Sept. 5; Other players will have the opportunity to add the upgraded Iron Man on Sept. 28. For those who want to get their hands on the Summoner’s Choice voted Gladiator, he will be available on Sept. 14.

Next-Gen Super Heroes Viv Vision and Kate Bishop Enter the Battle on Marvel Contest of Champions

The Contest continues and the next generation of Super Heroes are coming to The Battlerealm as Kabam introduces synthezoid Viv Vision and expert archer Kate Bishop in an all-new Champion Reveal Trailer–Shot in the Dark–unveiling the new Champions coming to the popular mobile fighter MARVEL Contest of Champions. With 240 Champions in The Contest, players can also add other legendary MCU-inspired characters to their roster including America Chavez, Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan) and more!

Here is a quick look at what The Contest has in store this month:

The Young Avengers team up with The Champions to investigate bizarre thefts across The Battlerealm. Together, Kate Bishop and Viv Vision will uncover a sinister Hydra plot that threatens The Contest!

CHARACTER BIOS

To many she is known as the daughter of Vision, the lone survivor of the synthezoid’s attempt to literally build himself the perfect family. But to her teammates, the Champions, Viv Vision is a powerful ally, a tactician of unparalleled efficiency, and a trusted friend. She possesses all of her father’s powers, such as solar radiation absorption and projection, a computer consciousness, and the ability to manipulate her density at will. Viv’s potential is limited only by her age and experience and, given her ability to learn and grow like a human, there is no telling how powerful she may yet become.

Kate Bishop’s life was forever changed when she witnessed Hawkeye’s heroics during the Battle of New York, inspiring her to pursue excellence in archery, swordplay, and all manner of combat skills. She eventually partnered up with her hero and learned the secrets of his famous trick arrows.

Set your reminders! Viv Vision arrives in-game on March 15 and Kate Bishop on March 30. The Contest continues as Kabam introduces the indestructible Titania and Dr. Victor Von Doom’s mantle as the Infamous Iron Man in an all-new Champion Reveal Trailer – Grudge Match – unveiling the two new Champions coming to the popular mobile fighter MARVEL Contest of Champions. Titania will join all rosters of new and existing Summoners free for players who download and log in beginning September 7 and concluding on October 2. With over 200 Champions in The Contest, players can also add other legendary MCU-inspired characters to their roster including Hercules, Iceman, and more!

CHARACTER BIOS

Once a scrawny and timid girl, Mary MacPherran was recruited by Doctor Doom into an evil army of super humans. Through Doom’s twisted science, Mary was transformed into the super strong and nigh indestructible Titania. Now a super-powered bully and formidable villain, Titania is constantly picking fights to prove just how strong she is… especially with her archrival She-Hulk.

Iron Man (Infamous): Following an epiphany about his possible calling in life, Dr. Victor Von Doom decides to take on the role of Iron Man after Stark’s lapse into a coma. Donning one of Tony’s suits, Doom sets out to use his intricate knowledge of the supercriminal world to obliterate it completely. Though he has good intentions and is legitimate in his attempt to atone, his lack of social skills and the weight of his past deeds make it impossible for his former enemies, S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Fantastic 4, to trust him.

MARVEL Contest of Champions Celebrates Pride Month and Reveals Two New Champions – Wiccan & Hulkling

In celebration of Pride, Kabam’s mobile fighter Marvel Contest of Champions partnered with iconic comic artist Derek Charm to illustrate custom wallpaper inspired by fan-favorite LGBTQ+ MARVEL Super Heroes including America Chavez and teasing a future Champion coming to the game, Valkyrie – take a look at his artwork!

In addition, The Contest debuted an all-new Champion Reveal trailer introducing two new Champions coming to the popular mobile fighter – Wiccan & Hulkling! Also, to get hyped for the upcoming Disney+ series, Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan) will join all rosters of new and existing Summoners free for players who download and log in beginning June 8 and concluding on July 20. CHARACTER BIOS

Wiccan

William “Billy” Kaplan is the reincarnated son of Scarlet Witch that had been magically created through Chaos Magic but later dispelled. Not long after Billy discovered his powers he was recruited into the New Avengers. Initially he had chosen to name himself after Thor and adopted the super hero identity of the Asgardian, but as he matured as a hero and developed more as his own person he changed his code-name to Wiccan.

Hulkling

Growing up, Theodore “Teddy” Altman thought he was simply a mutant with shapeshifting and super-strength. Then one day he was hunted down by Super-Skrull and informed that not only was he actually a hybrid of the Kree and Skrull races, he was also a member of the Skrull rowyal family. As time passed, Teddy claimed his role as the once and future King of Space, emperor of the united Kree/Skrull alliance, and wielder of the mythical star-sword, Excelsior.

Set your reminders! Hulkling will arrive in-game June 16 and Wiccan on June 30. New and existing players will be given the opportunity to add either Hulkling or Wiccan to their roster for free beginning June 8 and concluding on July 6. Overpower the Competition With Nimrod – Now Available on Marvel Contest of Champions

Nimrod is the ultimate Sentinel. Constructed in a timeline where Mutants have been completely wiped out by the superior, infinitely advancing robotic beings. Upon realization that it’s one directive to exterminate all Mutants was no longer possible within Nimrod’s original timeline, this flawless, unstoppable force of destruction begins to jump to alternate timelines, ridding the multi-verse of abhorrent the Mutant scourge.

Celebrate the Release of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings in Marvel Contest of Champions

To celebrate the release of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings film, the award-winning, mobile fighterMarvel Contest of Champions will be giving all new and current players a FREE 3-Star Shang-Chi. Players will be able to perform Wushu Strikes, harness the power of Chi and become the ultimate Kung Fu master! Make sure to log in before October 6th @17:00 UTC to claim your gift! 

In addition, Marvel Contest of Champions has created a special quest, Shang-Chi’s Close Quarters Challenge, themed to include hand-to-hand combat inspired by the brand-new movie. Play the quest between September 1st to October 6th to experience the action!

Here is a quick bio of Shang-Chi’s in-game story:

From a young age, Shang-Chi went through rigorous martial arts training with his father, Zheng Zu. After discovering he was being shaped into a lethal assassin, he instead took to Super Hero work. As the Master of Kung Fu, Shang-Chi has complete control over his inner energy, Chi. With a vast knowledge of Wushu fighting styles, Shang-Chi can wield a variety of weapons but he excels in bare-handed combat.

As an infant Hercules was cared for by his stepmother Hera, Queen of the Olympian Gods, and bestowed with her blessings. These blessings further elevated his demigod physiology to near Godlike heights, providing him with immense strength, stamina, immortality, and near invulnerability.

Hercules and America Chavez Join Marvel Contest of Champions

The Contest continues as Kabam introduces fan-voted, Summoner’s Choice Champion HERCULES!  Joined by Mystic Brawler AMERICA CHAVEZ! Find out more about their stories in MARVEL Contest of Champions as Kabam debuted an all-new motion comic teasing the two new Champions coming to the popular mobile fighter. Here is a quick look at what The Contest has in store this month:

Amidst the chaos, Captain Marvel locates America Chavez, who explains that the portals are the result of her unexpected arrival in The Battlerealm. Attempting to contain the carnage of these new Champions, the trio encounters none other than Hercules, who was sucked in by one of America’s stray star portals. 

Together (with the unexpected aid of Howard the Duck), these heroes must uncover the secret behind this sudden arrival, and uncover the terrible truth behind The Battlerealm’s origins! Will our heroes survive the onslaught of new opponents? What did America Chavez see beyond the walls of The Battlerealm? What darkness awaits the future of The Battlerealm? Find out this month in the brand new Event Quest, Starfall!

Both characters will arrive in the game in July, and fans can now check out the all-new motion comic – Starfall.
