Keith Davidsen has joined Mad Cave Studios as the new Director of Marketing! 

Keith Davidsen will partner with Allison Marie Pond to oversee all marketing efforts for Mad Cave. While Pond will handle book market and brand management with a focus on the Papercutz and Maverick imprints, Davidsen’s efforts will highlight the core Mad Cave line with a special emphasis on the comic book direct market. 

A comic book industry veteran of 23 years, Keith Davidsen has rolled up his sleeves and gotten to work in virtually every aspect of the business — marketing, sales, editorial, design, events planning, journalism, inventory management, and more. He worked director-level positions at IDW Publishing, Dynamite Entertainment, and Avatar Press, and served as a brand manager at Diamond Comic Distributors. He is a familiar and friendly face to creators, journalists, and retailers, and has had writing credits on such titles as Godzilla, Evil Ernie, Reanimator, Pink Panther, and Poison Elves.

Secret Wars gets the Saturday Morning Treatment with new Variant Covers

Over the last few months, artist Sean Galloway has captured the spirit of Saturday Morning cartoons with a new line of variant covers depicting your favorite heroes in his fantastic animated style. Inspired by classic TV ads of decades past, this popular new cover program radiates the exuberant energy and vibrant aesthetic of iconic children’s programming with a modern twist. This November, Galloway will spotlight the groundbreaking Secret Wars event in a new connecting cover for Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars: Battleworld #1 and #2! The bombastic storyline is a perfect fit for Galloway’s style and the cover serves as an homage to Mike Zeck’s classic Secret Wars #1 cover.

Written by former Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief and the editor of the original Secret Wars, Tom DeFalco, and drawn by acclaimed artist Pat Olliffe, Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars: Battleworld will reveal a never-before-told adventure set during one of the significant conflicts in Marvel Comics history. Wolverine has the ultimate showdown in Sabretooth War kicking off in Wolverine #41

Wolverine and Sabretooth have one of bloodiest feuds in all of pop culture history and this January, their rivalry reaches a brand new peak in “Sabretooth War,” a ten-part epic coming to Benjamin Percy’s run on Wolverine.
