ComicConBox To Include Exclusive All New X-Men #9 Variant Cover by Michael Gaydos In June

All New X-Men #9 VariantWizard World, Inc. and Marvel have announced that the All-New X-Men #9 (Apocalypse Wars Part 1) with variant cover by Michael Gaydos will be included in the June ComicConBox. Monthly subscribers will receive the color variant cover available only through ComicConBox.

The All-New X-Men are on a mission to step out of the shadows of their predecessors and write their own futures. And none are more determined to forge their own way than Evan Sabahnur, who is allegedly destined to one day become the genocidal villain Apocalypse. But now, by way of an unintentional intervention by his teammate Beast, Evan is brought face-to-face with Apocalypse himself and also brought face-to-face with the question he’s been running from: Can you escape your destiny?

Gaydos has established himself in various artistic channels. For the past twenty plus years he has worked in the world of the illustrated word and the graphic novel. His list of credits include work for Marvel, DC, Archie, Dark Circle, Boom, Virgin, Dark Horse, Fox Atomic, Image, IDW, NBC, Tundra, NBM, Caliber, and White Wolf among others.

He has received two Eisner Award Nominations for his work on Alias with Brian Michael Bendis for Marvel and is co-creator of Marvel’s Jessica Jones who has her own Netflix series.

ComicConBox To Include Exclusive Detective Comics #474 Exclusive Variant Cover by Dan Panosian In July

Detective Comics #474 variantWizard World, Inc. and DC Comics have announced that Detective Comics #474 with variant cover by Dan Panosian, an issue which marks the first appearance of Deadshot, will be included in the July ComicConBox. Monthly subscribers will receive the color variant cover while new subscribers can select a virgin cover edition as a gift, available only through ComicConBox.

After the Batman and Robin have put the Penguin behind bars, they split ways as Robin goes back to college. In prison the Penguin brags to Floyd Lawton/Deadshot how he is about to escape again. He is about to demonstrate with his laser lens monocle, when Floyd suddenly grabs it from the Penguin and cuts a hole in his prison cell wall and escapes. The Batman visits Boss Thorne to end the “cease and desist order”put on him. Then the Ghost of Hugo Strange visits Boss Thorne for a second time.

Bruce Wayne and Silver St. Cloud have a lunch date and bump into Commissioner Gordon at Gothams Exhibition Hall (where Silver works) when they learn of Deadshot’s escape and is bent on killing the Batman. That evening while the Batman is on patrol a bullet whizzes by just missing him. The Batman chases Deadshot which ends at Gotham Exhibition Hall and captures him in a giant typewriter there.Silver is still there working late and witnesses the battle. She calls out to the Batman. He turns and they have a moment of recognition. Silver then realizes that Bruce Wayne is the Batman.

Panosian is a graphic designer who specializes in comic books, advertising and storyboards based in Los Angeles. He has worked on dozens of titles, including Marvel’s Thor, Uncanny X-Men, Wolverine, Iron Man, Incredible Hulk and many others, and Image Comics books WitchBlade, Prophet, Cyberforce and more.

ComicConBox To Include Exclusive JLA #1 Variant In March

JLA #1 VariantWizard World, Inc. and DC Comics have announced that the JLA #1 with variant cover by Tyler Kirkham will be available in the March ComicConBox.

While out on a drive, Barry Allen investigates a strange blue glow coming from a house, and ends up encountering Jasonar and Saranna, beings from the dimension known as Kalanor. Changing into the Flash, Barry learns that these aliens come from another dimension which has been under the rule of Despero, a despotic ruler who has access to super weapons. Jasonar and Saranna had come to Earth to build a device which would absorb the weapons’ power source. Offering to help, the Flash calls the Justice League together for a meeting in order to help Jasonar and Saranna in their mission to stop Despero. ComicConBox To Include Exclusive Star Wars: Vader Down #1 Variant

Wizard World, Inc. and Marvel have announced that the Star Wars: Vader Down #1 Mike Mayhew ComicConBox Variant Covers will pay tribute to the iconic original Star Wars Episode VI: Revenge Of The Jedi Movie Poster (the name of the film was later changed to Return of the Jedi).

There are actually three versions of the cover; the first is a regular edition, the second version is a Black & White Sketch cover version, and a third – Subscription Only Variant, is a Virgin cover, so the original art can be seen in its entirety.

The extremely limited Virgin Variant Cover will be available to 3-month subscribers only.

This iconic variant comic, originally released in September 1993, displays Barbara Gordon dressed up as Batgirl for a costume party, which is crashed by Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman. Most notably, this is the first comic book appearance of Harley Quinn. The variant cover art, by Rick Burchett, also pays homage to DC Comics cover of Tango with Evil by Alex Ross.

There is a limited supply of The Batman Adventures #12 – BatGirl: Day One variants, and once sold out, they will never be republished. This month’s ComicConBox will also be filled with other licensed DC Comics products (toys, artwork, etc.).

Wizard World Sells Out the First Edition Of ComicConBox in Six Days

Marvel Secret Wars Sketch VariantWizard World announced today a complete sellout of the first edition of ComicConBox, a premium monthly box service business that launched last week. As of next month, a limited premium subscription will be offered to fans.

First edition boxes are scheduled to ship within the next one-to-two weeks.

Luckily for fans, Wizard World also announced today that ComicConBox will shortly be offering a three-month subscription that brings an exclusive Marvel Secret Wars #1 sketch variant comic inside its next ComicConBox.
