Comics and Game Shops Work on the First Shared Events Calendar

Bookmark and Share

This all started with a Twitter conversation by @avatarpress and @shopofideas on how to create a shared calendar where any shop who wished to participate could add an event for folks to see and us all to promote.  In about an hours time working with @avatarpress I whipped up the beta version of this project. And we’re slowly getting shops added to the roster.Avatar Press Comic Shop Map

You can see the calendar here and if you’re a shop, you’re able to sign up on this form.

Avatar Press has also launched a Google Map to allow anyone to add shops.

It’s great to see the industry coming together a pushing collaborative projects that benefits us all.

Kids are a big focus of Collector’s Paradise’ effort on FCBD.  The event will feature costumed characters for the kids to take photographs with, as well as several thousand kid-friendly comic books given away to all fans in attendance.
