Gothic Nightmares Get a Manga Mayhem Makeover in Miss Mina and The Midnight Guardians

At the dawn of the 19th century, Dracula has nearly conquered Europe and set his sights on the Americas… but the Vampire King meets his match in Miss Mina and The Midnight Guardians: The Legend of the Golden Jaguar, the newest deluxe oversized graphic novella from publisher Fun Time Go!

Created and written by comic industry luminary David Hedgecock, this latest offering in the Kickstarter-exclusive Miss Mina and The Midnight Guardians graphic novel line sees the fearless and sharp-tongued Mina Murray lead a ragtag troop of monsters in deadly contest against the Vampire King. Will they keep an ancient Amazonian power from falling into Dracula’s clutches?

Mixing manga-influenced artwork, vibrant color, a dash of steampunk, and a bite of Hammer Films horror, Miss Mina and The Midnight Guardians is now live for crowdfunding on Kickstarter.

Miss Mina and The Midnight Guardians: The Legend of the Golden Jaguar features a superstar collection of creators, both within its pages and as contributors for the coveted Kickstarter rewards. The Xong Brothers provide the gorgeous art on the lead story, while Osvaldo “Montos” Montpeller and David Garcia Cruz illustrate a back-up story. Also, bestselling author Jonathan Maberry contributes a backup prose story with spot illustrations by Omar Lozano.

Artist Drew Moss Drops Into ThunderCats X SilverHawks!

Dynamite Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products have announced an exciting surprise update to the ThunderCats X SilverHawks comic book crossover event. Fan-favorite artist Drew Moss is dropping in and will be joining the expansive creative team, as the ongoing interior artist for the flagship ThunderCats X SilverHawks series past the first issue.

Now expanding the cockpit back to a two-seater, Declan Shalvey welcomes Drew on board for more fun! The creative duo were at ground zero collaborating on ThunderCats #1 in February 2024 when it blew fans away and scorched up the charts. Comics franchise editor Nate Cosby tagged in a few guest creators for a string of acclaimed special breather issues between story arcs, but Moss was the powerhouse illustrating the vast majority of issues in the series for over two years, including several covers too. And he continues that signature association and run with the biggest story yet!

Following the un-spoiled events of the first issue and accompanying second and third chapters of the crossover in its companion titles, both the ThunderCats and SilverHawks squads find themselves reeling. The ‘Hawks descend upon Third Earth, with plans to apprehend every ‘Cat in sight. What they can’t account for is the ferocious feline instincts of Cheetara!

In addition to the pulse-pounding storytelling of Shalvey and Moss, ThunderCats X SilverHawks #2 sports electrifying covers by Shalvey, Lucio Parrillo, Eric Canete, Chuma Hill, and a piece from the animation archives.

Skybound Reveals Variant Covers for Ghost Pepper #7

Skybound and Image Comics have revealed the variant cover lineup for Ghost Pepper #7, from creator/writer/artist/letterer Ludo Lullabi and colorist Adriano Lucas. Ghost Pepper #7 continues the new arc of the fiery action series and will arrive in comic book shops on January 21, 2026. 

Ghost Pepper  has introduced readers to a reality where humanity survived a monstrous threat, but the world isn’t better for everyone. Every day Loloi hits the road to deliver her delicious cooking to the masses, outsmarting her treacherous competition and staying one step ahead of the massive robots “protecting” them all. But everything changes when she serves a mysterious warrior named Ash, whose secrets might just save the world…if his superhuman strength doesn’t destroy it first.
