Crowdfunding Corner: David Hazan Christof Bogacs, and Phil Appley’s Requiem

Backer Beware: Crowdfunding projects are not guaranteed to be delivered and/or delivered when promised. We always recommend to do your research before backing.

Requiem #1-#2 created by David Hazan, Christof Bogacs, and artist Phil Appley is about to enter its second week on Kickstarter.

After successfully funding the first issue in July of last year the team are back and promise to bring more suspense, scares and of course, gore. The sci-fi horror mini-series merges the claustrophobic sci-fi horror of Alien with the memory wiping mystery of Memento.

When the crew of the Genesis stumble upon their sister ship with everyone dead and data erased, they awaken a monster trapped in their own memories.

With the body count continuing to wrack up, and still no idea who the killer is, the path ahead is shrouded in mystery and caked with blood.

In addition to the original covers by Appley, the campaign features five stunning variants from some of comics’ other hottest rising stars. Two of the five variants are drawn by Shane Connery Volk with the remaining variants drawn by Skylar Patridge and Beck Kubrick.

The campaign for Requiem #1 – #2 will run on Kickstarter until 8pm March 12, EST

Scout Comics Announces Volume a New Series out in 2021 from Christof Bogacs, Skylar Patridge, and Nadia Shammas!

In the messed-up world of tomorrow a populist dictatorship – known simply as The Regime – have made music illegal, preaching a perverted version of law and order called ‘Peace Is Quiet’. Standing up to this onerous silence is Essa, a teenager sick of living in the bland and colorless world the Regime has created. She’s 16, fed-up, and her only weapon is one killer rock song.

See, when Essa listens to her favorite track – a bellowing punk anthem called Garbage Heart – she doesn’t just feel invincible, SHE IS INVINCIBLE , imbued with superhuman strength and durability from listening to the song. What follows is a chaotic mess of color, punk music, and robot punching…needless to say, it’s going to get noisy.

Volume is by writer Christof Bogacs, artist Skylar Patridge, and edited by Nadia Shammas! It’s out from Scout Comics in 2021.
