Next summer Oni Press is publishing a graphic novel adaptation of R. A. Montgomery’s Choose Your Own Adventure: Space and Beyond! Academy Award Winner Jeremy Lambert and artist Dani Bolinho, team up to bring readers into a world where they decide what happens next, in the latest installment of the interactive graphic novel series. From the earth to space to the future to the past, readers will have a chance to explore the galaxy and interact with beings from other planets in a story with 44 different endings! 

In this interactive, multiple-ending graphic novel adapted from R. A. Montgomery’s classic Space and Beyond, YOU will journey through planets and galaxies and into the unknown universe. Put on your spacesuit and hurtle through space and time to choose the best adventure for you! First, you’ll choose the planet of your birth. Does Kenda or Croyd suit you? When you encounter a group of aliens, will you believe them to be friend or foe? Will you face the dangers of a black hole? What will you do when you journey back in time and see dinosaurs up close? Will you bring peace to troubled planets? It’s all up to you, so be careful! The choices you make could bring you home or launch you even farther into the infinite depths of the vast universe.

Choose Your Own Adventure: Space and Beyond is the fourth officially licensed Choose Your Own Adventure graphic novel and is based on the previously published Space and Beyond prose book from Chooseco. Choose Your Own Adventure: Space and Beyond will be available at retailers everywhere on August 4th, 2026.

Oni Press allows you to decide with Choose Your Own Adventure: Forecast From Stonehenge from writer Stephanie Phillips and artist Dani Bolinho, an interactive adventure graphic novel where YOU decide what happens next. With 16 possible endings in total, this vibrant and non-violent adaptation will take readers on their own visual adventure as a detective exploring London’s underground to uncover the secrets of the famous prehistoric monument, Stonehenge.

In this Choose Your Own Adventure graphic novel, adapted from the classic ChooseCo book, you’ll be visiting the infamous and enigmatic Stonehenge as a young traveler. While attending a solstice event held by a nameless group of druids in disguise, you’ll meet numerous characters like the excitable wizard Alistair, the deadly fairy Elaine and her horde, and even a woodland nymph Liandra. At the center are the secrets of Stonehenge and a magical scythe that’s fallen into your hands. Who you meet, and whether they’re friends or foes will be up to you as you choose where the story takes you! Part explorer, part detective, you’ll explore London’s underground in search of answers to uncover the secrets of the famous Stonehenge. 

This is the third officially licensed Choose Your Own Adventure graphic novel and is based on the previously published Forecast from Stonehenge prose book from ChooseCo. Choose Your Own Adventure: Forecast From Stonehenge will be available at retailers everywhere on April 30, 2024.

Choose Your Own Adventure Graphic Novels in August 2021

In a dynamic and exciting move, Chooseco, publisher of the world-famous Choose Your Own Adventure interactive book series, and Oni-Lion Forge Publishing Group have announced their upcoming partnership with the launch of Choose Your Own Adventure graphic novels in August 2021. 

The series will kick off with the classic Choose Your Own Adventure: Eighth Grade Witch from the creative team of E.L. Thomas, Andrew Gaska, Valerio Chiola, and Thiago Ribeiro. In true Choose Your Own Adventure form, the reader is immersed in the story as Rabbit, the new kid on the block who enters a ghoulish world of nightmares, witches, and ghosts. From learning about the mysterious witch Prudence Deadly, trouncing through spooky graveyards, meeting ghostly ancestors, or channeling some witchcraft with classmates, the readers will choose which adventure or nightmare they’ll embark on. No one path leads to the same destination, and readers will face choices that will either lead them to the light—or a gruesome end. Choose Your Own Adventure: Eighth Grade Witch will release on August 25, 2021 with the long-standing Chooseco classic Journey Under the Sea as the next title in the official line.

Ryan North Reveals Noelle Stevenson’s Romeo and/or Juliet Cover

tumblr_inline_o17nnvxi981qdh99d_500Earlier today, Ryan North (Dinosaur Comics, The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl) revealed the cover for his collaborative choose-your-own-adventure book titled Romeo and/or Juliet. The book is based on the classic Shakespeare play, but, in choose-your-own-adventure fashion, has more than 100 possible outcomes. Romeo and/or Juliet features cover art by Noelle Stevenson, and interior art by nearly a hundred artists, including Joe Quinones, Kate Beaton, Emily Carroll, Chip Zdarsky, and more.

The book is now available for preorder, and will be released on June 7, 2016. According to the website, preorderers will receive the book at a guaranteed price of $20 and “MYSTERY PERKS??”. Ryan North’s work on The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl means it will probably be hilarious and make for far more fun summer reading than Shakespeare’s version.
