With Great Power… Marvel teases the upcoming Armageddon
“Armageddon” is the upcoming event building off a lot of different storylines in various comic series and characters including Captain America, Wolverine, and the boxes from the Ultimate Universe. While we know it’s coming with some teaser images, Marvel has released the latest teaser below with a promise of more information tomorrow.
Captain America and Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon sets the stage for the next Avengers epic!
This summer, the Avengers undergo a transformation the likes of which hasn’t been seen since Avengers: Disassembled in Armageddon, a new Marvel Comics event from Chip Zdarsky. The superstar writer is currently laying key groundwork for Armageddon in his acclaimed run of Captain America as well as Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon, a prelude series launching later this month. Fans can see what’s to come in both titles this May, just before Armageddon arrives the following month.
Following Doom’s fall at the end of One World Under Doom, Latveria is on the brink of civil war! In the latest arc of Captain America, Captain America is deployed to prevent the race to control Doom’s kingdom from erupting into a global conflict. As tensions rise, Cap discovers a startling secret about Doom’s legacy and goes head-to-head with the all-new S.H.I.E.L.D. and RED HULK to defend Latveria’s future.
In Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon, an investigation into missing mutants leads Wolverine to Primewarrior, an all-new super soldier program. Teaming up with Dave Colton, a new Captain America introduced in Zdarsky’s run, Wolverine vows to bring Primewarrior down, confronting his own trauma as he faces off against a deadly new Weapon X! And when the pair come across a mysterious “origin box” device originating from another universe, they’ll unleash a power that will change the face of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes!

Captain America and Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon continues to Pave the Way for the Next Marvel Epic in April
The road to “Armageddon,” an upcoming Marvel event written by Chip Zdarsky, officially begins this month in Captain America #6, the start of an all-new arc in Zdarsky’s acclaimed run. Zdarsky will also set the stage for the event in Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon, a four-issue prelude series kicking off next month. Both series team Zdarsky up with top artists including Valerio Schiti, Delio Diaz and Frank Alpizar, and Jan Bazaldua on Captain America and Luca Maresca on Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon. Fans can peek ahead at what’s to come in April with the reveal of Captain America #9-10, new parts of the “Armageddon” lead-in arc, and Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon #3.
“Armageddon” picks up in the aftermath of One World Under Doom. With global tensions rising to determine the fate of Latveria, it’s up to Captain America and the all-new S.H.I.E.L.D. to prevent various groups from erupting into all-out war, including one with a startling connection to Doom’s legacy. Chip Zdarsky presents Armageddon, a Marvel Comics event coming in June 2026
This June, the Marvel Universe faces Armageddon! Crafted by Chip Zdarsky, Armageddon will impact the entire Marvel Universe, changing the face of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in a way not seen since Avengers: Disassembled, the event that redefined the team for the 21st century. Groundwork for the event will be laid in upcoming storylines in Zdarsky and Valerio Schiti’s Captain America as well as recent developments in the Ultimate Universe, specifically Miles Morales returning home with Origin Boxes in Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion #5.
