Artist Joyce Chin perfectly captures the atmosphere of the rock ‘n’ roll legend Alice Cooper on this super-rare variant edition for Alice Cooper vs. Chaos! #2, presented without any trade dressing to distract your attention away from the Sinister Showman and the fiends of Chaos! Comics! In this issue, chaos reigns as a plague of nightmares descends on the Alice Cooper concert in Milwaukee! But with Alice’s supernatural powers on the fritz, he’ll have to turn to the monsters for help! Meanwhile, Purgatori and Evil Ernie form an unholy alliance in search of Mr. Nice Guy!
While this issue defiantly continues the horror based dual roles of Alice Cooper, as the lord of nightmares. It however has a mixed focus as Danny, Rosa, Rashad,Niorun, and Vanessa manage to see him on stage. Shortly after that everything goes wrong, as the world of nightmares begins to break into the world of reality. The nightmares of the crowd slowly come to life, terrorizing them all.
The artwork is much more colorful than the last issue, mostly. Of course given most of this takes place at a concert it, actually gives an authentic feel. However there is a notable difference that when the creatures of nightmares create their illusions, they extremely colorful. That gives it a nice contrast.
