The Massive-Verse’s C.O.W.L.: 1964 #2 heads back to print

The latest issue in Eisner Award-nominated creator Kyle Higgins, Alec Siegel, and Rod Reis’ C.O.W.L.: 1964 has sold out completely at the distributor level. Issue #2 is being fast-tracked back to print this week in order to keep up with demand.  

In C.O.W.L.: 1964 #2, allegations swirl around Geoffrey Warner and the future of C.O.W.L.’s national expansion is at risk. But when a hidden secret comes to light it jeopardizes not only the expansion… but the entire organization itself.

C.O.W.L.: 1964 #2, second printing (Lunar Code 0524IM984) will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, October 16. The reprinted issue will also feature a special foil cover variant, as well.

NO/ONE enters the Massive-Verse with a comic and companion podcast

Superstar writers Kyle Higgins, Brian Buccellato, and rising star artist Geraldo Borges bring fans a “true crime”-style superhero drama in the upcoming, NO/ONE. This all-new ten issue comic book maxiseries will join Radiant Black, Rogue Sun, Radiant Red, The Dead Lucky, Radiant Pink, Inferno Girl Red, and C.O.W.L. in the expanding shared Massive-Verse from Image Comics in March 2023.

This new comic features some unique twists—its story will be expanded upon with an original monthly companion podcast titled, WHO IS NO/ONE, which will star Rachael Leigh Cook and Patton Oswalt as Pittsburgh Ledger reporters Julia Paige and Teddy Barstow. Higgins’ “Black Market Narrative” will produce the audio series with Higgins in the director’s chair, esteemed sound supervisor Matthew E. Taylor to supervise, C.O.W.L. co-creator and Black Market Narrative editor, Alec Siegel, to sound edit, Emmy-award winning composer Kristopher Carter to score the audio series, and there will be mixing in Dolby Atmos for spatial audio on supported platforms. NO/ONE colorist and esteemed poster artist Mark Englert will create exclusive episode posters each month, which will also be released as a line of “podcast variant” covers.

The world of NO/ONE will also feature an interactive, alternate reality game (ARG) narrative across in-universe social media accounts, websites, and other audio/visual elements (fans should be sure to follow:

Five more creators added to Image Expo line-up, Variant list revealed

Image ExpoFive new creators have been added to Image Expo’s July 2 lineup: Nicola Scott, Jason Aaron, Kyle Higgins, Alec Siegel, and Nick Dragotta will all attend Image Expo. In addition, Image Comics is pleased to reveal a list of tantalizing Image Expo variants that will be available at the show.

Jason Aaron, known for his bestselling southern-fried crime series Southern Bastards (co-created with Jason Latour), New York Times bestselling artist Nicola Scott, known for her work on Secret Six and Birds of Prey, and Kyle Higgins and Alec Siegel—the creative team that brought readers C.O.W.L.—will each make appearances at Image Expo to announce their exciting new projects with Image.

Image Expo variants and merchandise that will be available at the show will include:

Tickets to the event are now available for sale. General Admission is $25 and Premium Admission is $65. Seating is limited. Admission for retailers and members of the media is complimentary.

A General Admission Ticket will grant one (1) person entry to Image Expo and includes a program guide book, access to all programming and events, and admittance to the official Image Expo after party for a chance to mingle with creators, press, retailers, and fellow-fans.
