In the announcement, Steve Rotterdam, AfterShock’s SVP of Sales and Marketing said:

On the heels of an incredible New York Comic Con, AfterShock couldn’t be more excited to return to Baltimore for one of the most special gatherings of comic brands and readers the industry has to offer. This year just feels different, and we can’t wait to connect and celebrate with those who’ve helped AfterShock reach unimaginable heights in only six years of content creation. We encourage everyone in attendance to drop by the booth, connect with the team, meet some cool creators and get their hands on lots of exclusive offerings created just for Baltimore.

Fans will also have an opportunity to take home a limited edition AfterShock Mystery Box, a value of close to $200, for only $75. Contents may include graded comics, signed comics, rare variants, complete series runs and other surprise items for AfterShock’s army of enthusiasts. Fans will also have access to exclusive merch including limited edition Bunny Mask and AfterShock “Read Dangerously” t-shirts, as well as AfterShock collectible enamel pins.

AfterShock will be represented on-site by Publisher/Chief Creative Officer Joe Pruett; SVP Sales & Marketing Steve Rotterdam; Senior Retail Sales Development Manager Marc Hammond and Publishing Assistant Sarah Pruett.

AfterShock Announces Delays

Delays have been hitting every industry due to shipping, supply, and labor issues. AfterShock has announced that Cross to Bear #1, Search for Hu #2, and Afterdark will be delayed. The new release date is October 27th.

The supply chain disruption has been hitting the comic industry in many ways, the most interesting is a temporary paper shortage. Every publisher is being impacted in some way so expect numerous changes to continue in the coming months.

Warnings about this issue persisting well into the fall and winter have regularly been going up with expectations being that this holiday will see difficulty getting product as consumers.
