DC Universe Infinite Expands Into Eight New Countries

DC Universe Infinite is expanding its global footprint! DC has announced that its DC Universe Infinite digital comics subscription service (“DCUI”) is expanding into eight new countries. DCUI is now available in Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, and Sweden.

In the UK, DCUI expands its platform availability to include web browsers providing user access beyond mobile and tablet for the first time outside the U.S. In each of these territories, comic book fans with an Ultra subscription will have access to more than 35,000 of their favorite English-language DC titles, plus the award-winning DC GO! collection of original webcomics, available to read in a vertical-scroll format. The DC GO! collection includes select iconic DC series like Batman: Hush and All-Star Superman,select frontlist titles like the Absoluteseries and Batman (2025), plus classic issues of MAD Magazine, reformatted to take advantage of this new vertical-scroll feature.

DC Universe Infinite subscribers will have full access to an extensive English-language library of comics, including comic books that inspired fan-favorite movies and streaming series such as The Batman, James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker, and the upcoming DC Studios release Supergirl, based on Tom King and Bilquis Evely’s Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, as well as recently released comics.

Subscribers will also have exclusive access to the full series of DC GO! original comics such as the 2025 Ringo Award Best Webcomic, Renaissance of Raven, the 2025 Best Humor Webcomic, Nothing Butt Nightwing, and more.

With new titles being added in English to DC Universe Infinite one month after they hit retail store shelves for Ultra tier subscribers, the expansive library is constantly being updated, including recent additions such as DC K.O., Batman (2025), Absolute Batman, Absolute Wonder Woman, Absolute Superman—series whose physical counterparts have gone back to press multiple times—and many more.

DC Universe Infinite also supports a fan-favorite community area full of in-depth discussions on the latest releases, Q&As with talent, and more via the official DC Discord server. The DCUI community channel on DC Discord is free and is available in each of the new countries.

Fans in the new countries (excluding Denmark) who sign up for the Annual Ultra tier subscription on DC Universe Infinite during the first 45 days of each country’s launch can subscribe at an introductory 15 percent discount off the standard price in that country. Anyone who subscribes at the introductory pricing can keep this discounted price for as long as they maintain their paid Annual Ultra subscription. Not available in Denmark. ClaimsHero Holdings Criticized by Judge for Encouraging Authors Opt-Out of Anthropic Settlement

Arizona law firm ClaimsHero Holdings LLC was criticized by a judge for encouraging authors to opt-out of the $1.5 billion settlement by Anthropic. The settlement is an attempt to resolve copyright infringement claims. In September, U.S. District Judge William Alsup called the class-action settlement “fair” during a hearing setting the stage for notification of authors impacted and allowing them to file claims. Anthropic is accused of using millions of pirated of books to teach its AI assistant Claude to respond to prompts.

ClaimsHero Holdings calls itself a “consumer justice platform dedicated to helping individuals seek justice for various consumer harms.” On their page concerning Anthropic’s settlement, it states:

Anthropic has received preliminary court approval of a settlement to resolve claims that it illegally downloaded millions of pirated books from online datasets. That settlement provides for just $3,000 per copyright claimant. But the law provides for up to $150,000. Unless you take action, authors and rightsholders will be automatically included in that settlement. If you opt out of that settlement, you may be entitled to more compensation. Let us opt you out, represent you, and fight for more!

During a recent court proceeding, the judge criticized the firm accusing them of attempting to deceive individuals for a “quick buck,” scrutinizing their actions and raising concerns about the firm’s motives and practices.

Crunchyroll adds Titan Books to its Digital Library

Sweet Shop Launches the Beta of its Digital Comic Store with 24 Publishers

Sweet Shop is one step closer to launching its destination for comics and manga readers of all ages and interests. The company launched an invite-only beta, with apps pending approval in app stores, featuring a diverse selection of titles from 24 leading publishers across the industry.

There’s a comic book for everyone and Sweet is focused on giving readers all the tools they need to find it. Features available at launch include in-app purchases, offline reading, and the ability to download DRM-free PDFs, among others.

Soon users will also have the ability to give and receive recommendations, access sales and bundles, create reading lists, and more.

Sweet Shop was launched without venture capital money and has vowed it will not accept AI comics.
