It’s a big week for Leagues of Votann as their codex as well as numerous new units are released. There’s more Warhammer 40K as well as some made-to-order releases for Warhammer: The Old World, as well as Black Library. See everything you can start ordering next weekend.
Codex: Leagues of Votann is everything you need to get this army to your tabletop. The codex will be available as a regular and collector’s edition. It features 144 pages and now featuring added Ironkin compadres. You get 21 datasheets and 5 Detachments, feeding into a new army rule named Prioritised Efficiency – your units collect Yield Points by capturing and protecting objectives to unlock powerful combat bonuses.
Also featured is a new Combat Patrol – Bane-slayer’s Bulwark – as well as comprehensive Crusade rules, painting guides, galleries of miniatures, and brand-new lore.
The collector’s edition features a soft-touch cover, unique cover art, a ribbon bookmark and teal foil edges.
Buri Aegnirssen is the rage-filled sole survivor of the Emberg-Aegnir Bloc, a faction devoured by Hive Fleet Leviathan. Aegnirssen is a scarred vigilante who now plies the leagues, fighting the ever-present menace. Buri wields the unique darkstar glaive dubbed Bane, dealing five S12 or 10 S6 attacks in combat. A Lone Operative, he returns from the dead on a 2+ once per game.
Arkanyst Evaluators are tinkerers and experimenters, among the madder members of the Science Guild, who bring experimental weaponry to the field. Their transmatter inverters have three increasingly dangerous modes of fire – both to the foe and the firer – but when they work, they work. The kit comes with two head options: bare and helmeted.
Memnyr Strategist is the first Ironkin character who’s always one step ahead of the game. His already impressive computational power is boosted by the kognitâar mantle swirling behind him, processing yet more deadly permutations. The Memnyr can join units of Ironkin Steeljacks, allowing them to use Overwatch and Heroic Interventions for free, and helping you manipulate your Yield Points.
Cthonian Earthshakers are subterranean artillery with two ordnance options. Some of them still carry plasma weapons, so don’t get any ideas… This box contains two Earthshakers, which come with two barrel options representing each ordnance, and interchangeable base toppers. The crew have interchangeable heads, bodies, and left arms, while the Ironkin can switch between ammo types. The box includes a Leagues of Votann transfer sheet comprising 555 decals.
Ironkin Steeljacks are the abominable intelligences the Adeptus Mechanicus warned you about. With a 2+ save and a Preymark Crest that grants Precision when attacking enemies entrenched upon an objective, you can arm them either with heavy volkanite disintegrators or autoch-pattern bolters and plasma swords. The box contains three Steeljacks, with enough arms to outfit them all with either loadout. One can be built as a Theyn, while they can all also exchange their plasma swords for concussion gauntlets.
The Kapricus is a rugged light vehicle used by the hardy Hernkyn. It can be built in two configurations: the Kapricus Defender and the Kapricus Carrier. The former mounts a magna-rail cannon or HyLas rotary cannon on a turret alongside twin magna-coil autocannons, while the latter can ferry five Hernkyn Yaegirs, offering fire support from its magna-coil autocannons. This kit has three turret options split across the two configurations, and six interchangeable heads, including two Ironkin. It also includes a Leagues of Votann transfer sheet with 555 decals.
You can expand your army or start a new one with the Combat Patrol: Leagues of Votann. It features an Einhyr Champion, 5 Einhyr Hearthguard, 3 Brôkhyr Thunderkyn, and 10 Hearthkyn Warriors. There’s a specific way to build each unit for games of Combat Patrol, but they all have numerous loadout and cosmetic options. The set includes two 555-decal transfer sheets.
Keep track of things and show off your loyalty with the Leagues of Votann Dice and Datacards. It’s a set of 16 sea-green dice with the faction icon on the six face, and a pack of 26 quick-reference datacards comprising every datasheet in the faction (including for Combat Patrol) and the army rule.
Vulkan He’stan is equipped with a bolt pistol, the Gauntlet of the Forge, and the Spear of Vulkan, he can be attached to Assault Intercessor Squads, Company Heroes, Infernus Squads, and Tactical Squads. A single-pose model, he has two head options: bare and helmeted.
Combat Patrol: Salamanders features Adrax Agatone, an Invader ATV, 3 Eradicators, 5 Assault Intercessors, and 10 Infernus Marines. As always, many of these units have cosmetic options and variable loadouts, though the Combat Patrol rules have set constructions.
Salamanders Dice Set helps show off your loyalty with 16 Salamanders dice cast in fiery yellow with black pips and the Chapter icon on the six face.
The World Eaters Slaughterbound is now available on its own for the first time. He can lead units of Eightbound and exalted Eightbound, whipping an already unstable bunch of lads into such a frenzy that one of them returns from the dead every turn. He has a choice of two heads and an optional icon of Khorne on his armour.
Also available for the first time is the Death Guard Lord of Poxes. This guy keeps his armour on so he can brew up the foulest miasmas imaginable to surround him and the unit of Plague Marines he joins.
Warhammer Commemorative Series: Captain Centos helps celebrate 200 Warhammer stores and only available there while stocks last. This single-pose character miniature comes with a choice of two head options, and while he’s painted as an Ultramarine, the figure itself can be used by any Space Marine Chapter. He’s only available at Warhammer stores, arriving for sale on August 9.
