Graphic Policy’s Top Comic Picks this Week!

Barbarian Behind Bars #3

Wednesdays are new comic book day! Each week hundreds of comics are released, and that can be pretty daunting to go over and choose what to buy. That’s where we come in

Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!

Find think below, and what comics you should be looking out for

Absolute Wonder Woman #19 (DC Comics) – The latest arc is solid and has introduced some great concepts and a lot of characters. Each arc has delivered an interesting way for Wonder Woman to save the day and solve whatever obstacle ahead of her and we’re expecting more of that.

Barbarian Behind Bars #3 (Mad Cave Studios) – The concept is fantastic and first two issues solid. A barbarian from another world winds up battling in the middle of the city and then arrested for murder and all of the destruction.

Corpse Knight #1 (Image Comics) – There’s a lot of buzz about this series. A young girl named Foy lives in relative peace with her father… until tragedy strikes. As Foy struggles to fend for herself, she’s granted a miracle — her father returns from the dead to protect her. We’re expecting a sell out.

Event Horizon Inferno #1 (IDW Publishing/IDW Dark) – A sequel to the cult favorite horror film. We’re excited to see where it takes the story and if it can disturb us as much as the film and the prequel comic.

Exquisite Corpses #12 (Image Comics) – The series has been fun as families battle it out to control the direction of the country for the next five years. At this point, we’re expecting some more twists before it’s over.

Florida Hippopotamus Cocaine Massacre #3 (Mad Cave Studios) – The title of the series really says it all. If it gets you to laugh, the series is for you. It’s cocaine infused insanity and a lot of fun.

G.I. Joe A Real American Hero Sssilent Missions Copperhead #1 (Skybound) – The Sssilent Missions issues have been great this year. It’s been a solid group of releases that show off part of what makes comics so special.

Head Lopper #1 (Image Comics) – The series is off-the-rails fantasy fun. We’re excited to get something new as it not only has had great stories in the past but the art is really cool.

In Your Skin #1 (Image Comics) – Bollywood body horror meets erotic fiction… yeah, this one is intriguing.

Spider-Man/Superman #1 (Marvel/DC) – While the crossovers between Marvel and DC (and DC and Marvel) have been all over, we’re suckers for them and always excited to check them out.

ThunderCats x SilverHawks ThunderHawks #1 (Dynamite Entertainment) – Our childhood playing with toys continues in comics!
