SDCC 2025: Jeremy Haun and Mike Tisserand’s Murder Podcast launches in September from Ignition Press

In the lead up to San Diego Comic-Con 2025, Ignition Press has announced its first comic series to be released is Murder Podcast by Jeremy Haun and Mike Tisserand.

Fans of true crime podcasts are noticing brand-new episodes of a show they thought was over appearing in their feed, but when they cue up the first episode, they find themselves overtaken by a murderous urge. One that only stops when the killer is stopped, leaving a gruesome death toll in its wake. For Mina and her friends, these killings are just another topic of their daily gossip, a potential new case for the next true crime show they can’t get enough of. Yet, as the killings get closer and closer to their own lives, it’s becoming clear that there is more going on below the surface than any of them realizes.

Written by Jeremy Haun with art by Mike Tisserand, colors by Nick Filardi, and letters by AndWorld Design, this debut Ignition Press title will make you think twice the next time you fire up those ear buds and press play on your phone.

Murder Podcast #1 will feature two open-to-order covers by Haun and Tisserand with he latter forming a connecting image across multiple covers. Retailers will have access to a limited-edition variant by Ebrahel Lurci.

Murder Podcast #1 debuts September 4, 2025.

Dark Horse announces Uri Tupka and the Gods by Mike Mignola

Just months after releasing one of the most acclaimed graphic novels of 2025, legendary Hellboy creator Mike Mignola is expanding the Lands Unknown universe with a brand new graphic novel from Dark Horse Books. Fans first encountered the shared universe co-created by Mignola and his longtime collaborator Ben Stenbeck earlier this year in Mignola’s critically acclaimed anthology of folklore-inspired fantasy stories Bowling With Corpses and other Strange Tales from Lands Unknown, which sold out immediately and is already in its third printing with a fourth being prepared. Now, Dark Horse Comics is preparing to release Uri Tupka and The Gods, a new graphic novel written and drawn by Mike Mignola with colors by Dave Stewart, coming in February 2026.

Uri Tupka and The Gods: Another Story from Lands Unknown follows the titular wayward theologian across the Lands Unknown on a quest to prove that ancient powerful gods shaped the world. Uri’s journey puts him face to face with mythical creatures, thieves, dragons, and a tomb of unspeakable horror. But nothing can prepare the unlikely adventurer for what he learns about the universe or his role in it.

Uri Tupka and The Gods: Another Story from Lands Unknown is the first of two books tracing the life of Uri Tupka, former Doctor of Theology but now heretic, on the run as he looks for the truth about the gods. It also expands the world that was introduced in Bowling with Corpses with much more to come. Uri Tupka and the Gods: Another Story from Lands Unknown is a 104-page hardcover that will be released in bookstores and comic shops on February 24, 2026.
