This week’s eye-popping Savage Dragon #281 by Image Comics partner and CFO Erik Larsen has sold out instantly at the distributor level. Image will rush this thrilling new issue back to print in order to keep up with rampant reorder activity. Savage Dragon #280 also sold out and went back to press.

In Savage Dragon #281, Malcolm Dragon returns home from Russia to find that the world has changed and life has moved on without him. Now he has to try and put his life back together.

Larsen’s Savage Dragon is the longest-running, full-color comic book series to feature a single artist/writer and the character first appeared, as part of a three-issue miniseries, that launched with the company’s founding in 1992. It continues to release in trade paperback and hardcover collected editions and regularly releases new single issues. It is swiftly approaching its next milestone issue, #300.
