Bad Bug Media (Booth #1908), the independent comic book publisher, is joining the celebration and will be at Baltimore Comic-Con 2024.

Exclusive Offerings and Rare Editions

Fans of mature horror, science fiction, and fantasy comics are in for a treat as Bad Bug Media will be unveiling exclusive editions that are not available anywhere else.

They’ll have two exclusive covers in limited quantities, available in different versions like holofoil and metal covers.

Roseblood Manor is a horror anthology series about a time-traveling, demon-possessed mansion which claimed the lives of thousands of victims.

Dead End Moon is a supernatural western about a cursed bounty hunter encountering several otherworldly threats while pursuing an undead outlaw.

Based out of West Virginia, the company has successfully funded over 50 projects on Kickstarter since 2020. Their commitment to high-quality storytelling and captivating artwork has garnered a dedicated following and widespread acclaim.

Meet the Bad Bug Media team at Baltimore Comic Con…

Alice Tener, Chief Operating Officer

Alice joined Bad Bug Media in 2023 and co-created Dead End Moon, one of Bad Bug’s best-selling titles. She has an extensive artistic history, spending the majority of her life dancing and sculpting. She has also served in several leadership roles for statewide art communities and businesses. Her favorite comics are Saga, Fatale, and Ghost World. 

Mike Tener, Chief Executive Officer

Mike created Bad Bug Media in 2019 and wrote its first series, Black Jackets, Midnight Highway, and Vanya: The Lost Warrior. His favorite comics are Sandman, East of West, and Manhattan Projects. He enjoys all facets of comic creation and is heavily invested in helping develop and grow the independent comic book community.

Jason Pell, Creator/Writer 

Jason created Bear Skin, Flickering Lights, and Monster Girl Beach Party for Bad Bug Media while also producing several other projects under his Bughouse brand. His favorite comics are Top Ten, Starman, Swamp Thing, and Battle Royale (the manga series). For him, making comics is a great way to tell suspenseful stories where the characters feel both alien and familiar. A veteran comic creator with over 20 years of experience.

Brandon “Bowski” Calhoun, Graphic Designer and Fulfillment

Having worked in the music industry as a designer and merchandiser for over twenty years, Bowski’s most notable work is a Hot Topic Exclusive comic called The Truly Terrifying and Terrible Tales of the Twiztid. He recently joined Bad Bug in several roles: graphic designer, fulfillment coordinator, and writer. His first comic project with Bad Bug Media will be released this fall.
