Eric Gitter, Filip Sablik, Jamie S. Rich, and Jeremy Haun announce a new comic venture

Since it was announced he was leaving BOOM! Studios, there’s been a lot of speculation as to what was next for Filip Sablik. Some of the rumors have proven true at his been announced that Sablik will be part of a new publishing venture. Joining Filip is producer Eric Gitter, former head of IDW Jamie S. Rich as editor-in-chief, and comic creator Jeremy Haun who will be the creative director.
The company hasn’t been named yet and will lean towards horror, science fiction, crime, and fantasy. An initial slate nor funding were not disclosed in the announcement.
The goal is the first release some time in 2025.
The new comic publisher has their eye on Hollywood and screen adaptations playing off of Gitter’s background. Gitter was the previous head of Oni Press’ screen division and earned producer credits on Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Extraction, both based on comic books.
The company brings experience. Sablik has been in the industry for nearly 25 years having worked with Diamond Comic Distributors and Top Cow, and he most recently was BOOM! Studios president of publishing nd marketing.
Rich brings 30 years experience. He was a group editor for DC and head of its Vertigo/Young Animal Imprint. He also has worked for Dark Horse Comics, Oni Press, and Tapas Media. He was the editor-in-chief for the last two. He most recently served as the editor-in-chief at IDW.
Haun is a comic writer and artist with 20-plus years of experience. He has worked for publishers such as Image, BOOM!, DC, and Marvel.
