Civil War remains at the top of a rough weekend box office
Civil War remained at the top of the box office even after dropping 56.4% from its opening weekend to be one of only two films to barely gross over $10 million. Civil War grossed an estimated $11.1 million to bring its domestic gross to $44.9 million. Internationally, the film has grossed $4.6 million so far for a worldwide total of $49.5 million after two weeks.
Abigail debuted in second place with $10.2 million domestically and a little over $5 million internationally for a worldwide debut of a little over $15.2 million.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire slipped to third place grossing $9.5 million domestically to bring that total to $171.6 million. Internationally, the film added $33.7 million over the week to lift that total to $313.6 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $485.2 million.
The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare debuted in fourth place with $9 million at the domestic box office.
Spy x Family Code: White debuted in fifth place with $4.9 million at the domestic box office. Internationally, the film has grossed $46.5 million for a worldwide total of $51.4 million.
In comic film news…
Madame Web‘s domestic gross remains at $43.8 million. Internationally, the film added about $100,000 over the week and has grossed just under $56.5 million. The movie sits at $100.3 million.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba – To the Hashira Training remained at $17.7 million domestically. Internationally, the film has grossed $26.6 million. Worldwide the movie has grossed $44.3 million.
The week’s overall box office success…
Numbers have 67 films earning $65,585,820 from 37,444 theaters. That’s a dip from the previous weekend’s $75,026,160 from 35,470 theaters and 70 films. The average earning was $1,751.57 which is a decrease from the previous weekend’s $2,115.20.
