Ana Nogueira to Write DC Studios’ Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow has found its writer in Ana Nogueira. Nogueira is an actor and playright having been in multiple shows like Hightown, The Blacklist, The Vampire Diaries, and more. As a playwright, she is known for penning the 2022 off-Broadway play Which Way to the Stage and is currently working on an adaptation of Alice Sola Kim’s Mothers, Lock Up Your Daughters.

Supergirl last appeared in The Flash but this film is part of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s re-launched DC film universe. The movie was announced as part of the initial lineup of films that will kick off with Superman: Legacy in 2025.

The film is partially inspired by the comic Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow written by Tom King and featuring art by Bilquis Evely that saw Supergirl getting recruited into a tale of revenge against the people who destroyed an alien girl’s world.
