F9 Takes the Box Office Again With The Boss Baby: Family Business Delivering a Strong Showing

F9: The Fast Saga

It’s a long holiday weekend so numbers for Monday should be still incoming but F9: The Fast Saga again won the weekend box office with an estimated $24 million. That brings its domestic total to $125.9 million after two weeks. Internationally, the film added about $39.5 million over the week to bring that total to $374.4 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $500.3 million.

The Boss Baby: Family Business took second place with an estimated $17.3 million. Domestically, the film has earned $23 million. Internationally, the film earned a little over $1.5 million to bring its worldwide total to $24.5 million after its first weekend.

In third place was The Forever Purge which earned an estimated $12.8 million. Domestically, the film has grossed $15.9 million. Internationally, the film earned $3.6 million to bring its worldwide total to $19.4 million.

A Quiet Place Part II dropped from second place to fourth and added $4.2 million to its domestic total. It has now earned $145.8 million. Internationally, the film’s gross stands at $112.1 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $257.9 million.

Rounding out the top five was The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard which added $3 million to its domestic gross bringing that to $31.4 million. Internationally, the film has earned $15.6 million to bring its worldwide total to $47.9 million worldwide.

Initial numbers have 44 films earned $68,949,541 from 30,906 theaters. That’s a bit of a dip from last weekend’s 44 films which earned $98,657,861 from 28,013 theaters. But, it’s still one of the better weekends of the year so far. The average earning was $2,230.94 this past weekend, almost double the previous weekend’s $3,521.86.
