J.J. Abrams, Matt Reeves, and Bruce Timm are working on a new animated Batman series. The series will return the character back to his noir roots. Batman: Caped Crusader is getting a straight-to-series order from HBO Max and Cartoon Network.

The series will dive deeper into the psychology of the characters and Batman’s noir roots.
