The Croods: A New Age repeated in first place this past weekend earning $4.4 million at the domestic box office. That’s a drop of 54.8% from the previous weekend. Domestically, the film earned $20.3 million putting it already in the top 20 films of the year. It’s the only film to earn over four figures ber screen average. Internationally, the film added about $19.4 million to bring its total there to $40.2 million. Worldwide, the film has earned $60.6 million making it one of the more successful films of the years after two weeks.

Half Brothers debuted in second place with $720,000. No international numbers have been released in its first week.

Freaky dropped from second place to third with a dip of 42.5%. The film earned an estimated $460,000 domestically. The film has earned $7.7 million after four weeks. The film added about $1.1 million over the week internationally to bring that number to $5.6 million Worldwide, the film has earned $13.3 million.

All My Life opened up in fourth place with an estimated $350,000. Internationally, the film also earned $730,000 to bring its worldwide total to a little under $1.1 million.

Rounding out the top five was The War with Grandpa which was in third last week. The film dropped 44.4% from the previous week to earn an estimated $329,359. Its domestic total is now $17.6 million. Over the week, the film grossed about $200,000 internationally as well to bring that total to $8.5 million. Worldwide, the film has earned $26.1 million.

In comic related movie news…

The New Mutants came in at #20 from the previous week’s #24. The film earned an estimated $3,500 domestically to bring that total to $23.8 million. The film gained a little internationally to bring that to $22.4 million. Worldwide, the film has earned $46.2 million.

The Empty Man came in at #21, improved from the previous week’s #20. The movie earned $1,500 domestically to bring its total to just under $3 million. internationally, the film earned about $50,000 over the week to raise that to $711,043. Worldwide, the film has earned $3.7 million.

We’ll update this analysis when the final numbers are in but over the weekend, the domestic box office grossed $8,471,375 from 39 films. That’s down by about $7.5 million from the previous week. There were 16,864 theaters,which is up from last week’s 15,714. The average per-theater earned was $502.33, down from the previous week’s $902.24.
