Liv is crushed when she discovers that the lead acotr on her favorite show, “Zombie High,” has been murdered on set. Meanwhile, Vaughn tests Major’s loyalty; Ravi delivers some bad new; and Blaine receives an unexpected visitor.

iZombie returns after a break for a new episode that brings the humor in a weird meta spin involving a death of an actor on a show about zombies. The humor is sharp, some times poking fun at iZombie itself, and as always Liv is the draw.

But, for once it isn’t her acting as a different personality. Instead the draw is Liv being a big geek and fangirling out over the show they’re investigating.

All of that does a great job mixing things together and changing things up a bit with the formula of the show.

The episode is a solid one with Liv not relying on quirky brains to be an interesting character. The show also shows off solid humor, making fun of itself. A great return and more of this please!
