Barry and the team ally with the kidnapped Captain Cold’s sister, but Barry feels duped with he learns Snart is working on something with his father; Joe faces a difficult decision.

The third episode The Flash does a bit of foreshadowing as Captain Cold returns to the series as the show puts the whole Earth 2 storyline to the side. The episode really is foreshadowing for what’s to come in Legends of Tomorrow.

Snart is roped into a job he’s not totally about due to some leverage his father has over him. The episode really explores Snart and some of his history peeling back the bad and giving some depth to him and his sister. What’s nice about the characters is that they’re not super evil, they just like to steal things, since they have their no killing rule. It’s an interesting back and forth between them and the Flash in the comics, and they’ve brought that even more here. Their diving into the that history too brings some pretty big dirt and adds a hell of a lot to the character.

There’s also some really interesting teasers at the end, which are really interesting and gets me excited to see what’s coming next. The show has been solid in that department.

The episode overall was good, not great, but definitely an entertaining hour.
