Liv eats the brains of a trophy wife who was pushed to her death from her home’s balcony by a hired hit man; Liv and Ravi discover Peyton is back in Seattle.

iZombie continues the fun as Liv goes all Housewives and catty after eating the brain of a trophy wife. As usual, Rose McIver sells it with acting that’s humorous and entertaining. The lines she delivers while she’s “in character” kept me on my toes and had my literally laughing out loud. McIver’s the star of the show, and it really revolves around her.

The rest of the episode deals with Major’s new job, which is rather silly in the big picture and how it’s resolved will be key, because right now I don’t see how it’s done so in a way that doesn’t make it bizarre.

The episode also has a little heart as Liv deals with her being alone, and also Peyton’s return has Ravi exploring his feelings as well.

And Major! You tramp!

The series has its formula down, and that’s not a bad thing, because as it sticks to that, it also does a great job moving the greater story along. Yes, it plays with exaggerated stereotypes, but does so in great humor and a smile. The usual fun hour, and one of the best comic adaptations on television.
