Liv eats the brain of a murdered, hard-partying fraternity brother; Ravi asks Major to come with him as he searches desperately for the cure; Blaine meets with a mysterious person from his past.

iZombie has fun with with frats after previously making fun of sororities. The episode follows the usual formula of a murder, and Liv having to ear the brain to find out what happened.

This is a show that actually somehow makes the word “bro-active” work.

The draw of the show is actress Rose McIver whose Liv is amazing. McIver embodies every brain she eats and goes all out with the personalities she’s supposed to embody. From beer pong, to using bro-active in a conversation, McIver is impressive in the episode. Her body language alone can tell stories. She also somehow skewers what she’s embodying too.

The episode also has Ravi and Major at a club checking out drugs. Ravi gets to shine, and the conversation the two have about scoring drugs is hilarious. The only issue I had is what happens in the club when Major passes out. You usually get tossed at that point.

The episode also has one of the funniest moments on tv, that I didn’t see coming. And it probably destroyed the innocence of anyone that was watching this episode.

The episode sticks to the formula, but still has enough in McIver’s acting and the writing to keep viewers on their toes. As always, and entertaining hour.
