Announced at C2E2, CM Punk will return to Marvel for Drax #1! He’ll be joined by another writer to be named later and an unannounced artist. The cover for the first issue will be handled by Ed McGuinness. CM Punk debuted writing for Marvel with Thor Annual #1. This is Drax’s very first ongoing series and explores Drax’s time outside the Guardians of the Galaxy!

What does Drax do when he’s not saving the universe alongside the likes of Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon and Groot? DESTROY! Obviously. From inside the intergalactic octagon to the far reaches of outer space – experience the bone-crunching solo adventures of the galaxy’s most fearsome guardian as he makes his way through the Marvel Universe! And demolishes anything and everything in his path!

CM Punk is a former WWE wrestler, and currently training to be a UFC fighter, and judging by that cover he’ll be putting his experiences to good use. He has also written a story for Vertigo’s Strange Sports Stories, but this series marks his first full-length ongoing story.
