Days of Future Past Drops to Second
As expected X-Men: Days of Future Past dropped to second place this past weekend at the box office after its first place debut the previous week. The film earned an estimated $32.6 million, that’s a drop of 64 percent. That puts the film at about $162.1 million domestically.
Internationally, the film earned $95.6 million bringing the international total to around $338 million. That includes a second place opening in Japan, and it has yet to open in Spain.
When you put the domestic and international totals together, Days of Future Past has crossed the $500 million mark worldwide. It is the first “X” film to do so. When you look at the domestic totals the film currently ranks fourth and fifth when you adjust the films for inflation. It’ll likely move up a slot before its theatrical run is over.
