Thirteen Artifacts destroyed the Universe. Darkness bearer Jackie Estacado remade the Universe. Rapture bearer and defrocked priest Tom Judge has recruited a team to take on Estacado, but will they pull it off?

The Top Cow universe has been utterly changed since the events of Artifacts and it’s been building to this. Tom Judge has decided this is the time to take on Estacado with some of the Artifacts bearers. This is a battle issue for the most part with some awesome flashes into Tom attempting to psyche up his team. As far as Sara being on the cover… don’t really expect her on the inside, sorry if that’s a spoiler.

The character interaction is great, there’s some fantastic personalities shown and each player really stands out as a unique individual, something I expect from a comic written by Marz (he’s good like that).

And the battle… ooo boy. It’s just a fantastic drag out with tons of smart as quips and lots of action.

All of that looks amazing with Sejic’s art. His style is unlike anything else on the market. Absolutely stunning to look at and this team’s collaborations are some of the most entertaining in comics.

This the first part of a crossover with Witchblade, so a decent hopping on point for folks that want to check out what Top Cow has to offer… which is solid entertainment.
