There’s a juggernaut of a comic hitting shelves this week, Uncanny X-Men #1. An easy pick, this comic follows Cyclops and his crew of mutant revolutionaries as they gather activating mutants and train them up. Other than that, who knows what to expect from this series other than showing the mutant rift from the Cyclops’ view. But, a team consisting of Cyclops, Magik, Magneto and Emma Frost, plus whomever they pick up sounds exciting to me. This will be the huge comic this week and probably of the month too.

• Batman #17 – It’s hitting the major newspapers so expect lots of hype and interest. I’ve read it and it’s a solid end to the latest Batman epic story, Death of the Family.
• Supurbia #4 – Grace Randolph’s series has been a super hero soap opera filled with dysfunctional characters and juicy plot lines to keep people entertained. If daytime soaps were like this, I’d be watching them all the time.
  
• The Strain #11 – Dark Horse’s vampire series has been an amazing journey so far, piling on the creepy each and every issue.
  
• The Walking Dead #107 – Rick confronts Nagen over Carl and it’s tense.
