Out of all of the releases this week, it’s a pretty simple choice as to which would be the Pick of the Week. Superior Spider-Man #1 is the next step in Dan Slott‘s controversial Spider-Man tale which saw the “death” of Peter Parker and in his body, the consciousness of Doctor Octopus. We have had some teases as to what we can expect. a brilliant former villain who wanted to be loved by the people given his chance for redemption. There’s potential, lots of potential and having only started reading Spider-Man recently, I’m drawn in by Slott’s brilliant writing.  There’s also the added bonus of Ryan Stegman‘s art. I can’t wait to see what’s next and where we’re taken.

• Star Wars #1 – Brian Wood doing Star Wars? Yes please! One of my favorite writers takes on the holiest of holy universes is potentially an amazing combination.
• Supurbia #3 – I’ve loved Grace Randolph’s series which looks into the dysfunction of super heroes. For those that have seen the cover of this one, you know why it’ll be entertaining.
  
• The Legend of Luther Strode #2 – The over the top violence is back and boy is it entertaining. That first issue ended with a bang and we’ll see where this second volume takes us.
  
• The Strain #10 – Any other year, this vampire comic would be a contender for “best of” lists. It’s looking like it might be a television series, so best to start reading now and say you read it before it was cool.
