But is this new Blacklist member working alone or is there a mysterious puppet master behind the scenes orchestrating a planned series of attacks against the FBI for his own nefarious purposes and if so, what is his connection to the Concierge of Crime, Raymond Red Reddington?

Written by script writer Nicole Phillips, The Blacklist Comic will chronicle the extended exploits of former government agent Raymond ‘Red’ Reddington, taking us back to the very origins of the series and revealing secrets about Red’s past and how he formed relationships with some of the key characters from the show.

SDCC 2015: The Blacklist Debuts with an Exclusive Cover

Titan Comics has revealed that this year’s San Diego Comic Con (July 9-12, 2015) sees the debut of The Blacklist comic series with a special SDCC themed cover!

Drawn by artist Colin Lorimer, this special SDCC exclusive cover features the formidable Raymond ‘Red’ Reddington, as played by James Spader!

The comic series is penned by Nichole Phillips and drawn by Beni Lobel and developed in conjunction with The Blacklist TV series from Sony Pictures Television. The first arc (Issues 1-5) will feature stories which expand upon the events of the TV series and feature all the major characters from the show, including the formidable Raymond ‘Red’ Reddington, played by James Spader, along with characters Lizzie, Donald Ressler, Dembe and others.

The Blacklist #1 SDCC exclusive cover will be available to pick up at Titan’s booth #5537.

Hitting stores on July 22, 2015, The Blacklist #1 comes with two covers to collect: an original painted cover of Raymond ‘Red’ Reddington from fan-favorite artist, Alice X Zhang (Doctor Who) and a photo cover with an iconic image of Red. The Blacklist comic will also be available to read on personal digital devices.

The comic series is penned by Nicole Phillips and drawn by Beni Lobel and developed in conjunction with The Blacklist TV series from Sony Pictures Television. Titan Comics has announced the launch of an all-new comic series, The Blacklist, based on the successful television series.

Hitting stores on July 22, 2015, Issue #1 comes with two covers to collect: an original painted cover of Raymond ‘Red’ Reddington from fan-favorite artist, Alice X Zhang and a photo cover with an iconic image of Red. The Blacklist comic will also be available to read on personal digital devices.

The Blacklist Films in DC

One of our spies shot some video and pictures of The Blacklist which is filming here in the Washington, DC area. The Blacklist is a new drama ordered by NBC. The television show is from Perfect Stranger writer Jon Bokenkamp and Alias‘ John Eisendrath, who will serve as showrunner on the project.

The Blacklist, from Sony Pictures Television, revolves around the world’s most wanted criminal, who mysteriously turns himself in and offers to give up everyone he has ever worked with. His only condition is he will only work with a newly minted FBI agent with whom he seemingly has no connection. Sounds a bit similar to Robert Kirkman’s comic Thief of Thieves which is also being turned into a television show.
