Aspen Heads to Stan Lee’s Comikaze 2013

Aspen Comics has announced their creator appearances, exclusive items and list of events for this weekend’s upcoming Stan Lee’s Comikaze 2013. Aspen creators Frank Mastromauro, Peter Steigerwald, Vince Hernandez, Mark Roslan, J.T. Krul, Beth Sotelo, David Wohl and Josh Reed will be appearing at the Aspen Comics Booth #708 throughout the weekend to meet with fans, sign autographs and offer free sketches.

The publisher will be offering numerous Stan Lee’s Comikaze exclusives including the world premiere launch of their final “10 for 10” series, All New Soulfire with an exclusive All New Soulfire #1 Comikaze 2013 cover by Aspen founder and series creator Michael Turner and Peter Steigerwald, limited to 200 copies and only available at the Aspen Comics Booth #708.

Aspen will be offering a new series of their art prints including the Aspen Comikaze 2013 print by Turner and Steigerwald limited to 50 signed and numbered editions. The publisher will also release two All New Soulfire prints by Turner, V. Ken Marion with Steigerwald limited to 50 and 75 signed and numbered editions respectively. A new Trish Out of Water print by superstar J. Scott Campbell limited to 75 signed and numbered editions will be released in addition to an All New Fathom print by Eric “Ebas” Basaldua and Steigerwald limited to 75 signed and numbered editions.

“The Official Aspen Comics Panel” will take place on Saturday at 11AM in room 303AB and will include creators Frank Mastromaro, Peter Steigerwald, Vince Hernandez, Mark Roslan, J.T. Krul, David Wohl, Beth Sotelo, David Schwartz and Josh Reed as they reveal never-before-seen art for upcoming releases and open the floor to a special Q&A session with fans. Aspen will also be hosting a “How to Prepare Your Portfolio and Sample Reviews” panel on Saturday at 3:30PM in Room 308AB with creators Peter Steigerwald and Vince Hernandez.

In celebration of their tenth anniversary and Fathom’s 15^th Anniversary, Aspen Comics in association with Dragon Con 2013 will be hosting an Aspen Comics Beach Party at the landmark Georgia Aquarium on Saturday, August 31^st. Featuring DJ Spider, an Aspen-themed costume contest, and a special live dive with the whale sharks by the creators behind Fathom, Soulfire and other notable Aspen hits, this is a one-of-a-kind night to commemorate ten years of Aspen Comics at Dragon Con.

Aspen creators Frank Mastromauro, Peter Steigerwald, Siya Oum, Alex Konat and Jordan Gunderson will be appearing at the Aspen Comics Booth in Artist’s Alley as well as the Aspen Comics Beach Party, and offering new Dragon Con 2013 exclusives as well as free sketches and live cosplay photo ops throughout the weekend.

In addition to the special Beach Party event and booth appearances, the publisher will be offering three new exclusive books for the show, beginning with the world premiere of their seventh “10 for 10” title, Overtaken, with a special issue one Dragon Con 2013 cover by Siya Oum, limited to 200 copies. Also, Aspen will be offering an All New Fathom #2 Dragon Con 2013 exclusive cover by Alex Konat and Peter Steigerwald, limited to 200 copies.

Aspen will also be offering the latest Aspen Tour Print 2013 Anniversary Edition by Michael Turner and Peter Steigerwald, limited to 75 editions, as well as a new lineup of their industry-leading art prints.

The Aspen Comics Booth in Artist’s Alley will also be featuring free live cosplay photo ops with cosplayers Jenifer Ann and Heather 1337 throughout the weekend as they will be appearing as Aspen’s popular heroines, Soulfire’s Grace and Fathom’s Kiani

Aspen Beach Party Costume Contest Contestants will be judged and awarded Aspen Comics prize packages including items such as original art, statues, signed comics and rare exclusives in the following contests:

SDCC 2013: Aspen Comics Reveals All New Fathom #1 Exclusives

Aspen Comics continues to unveil more San Diego Comic-Con 2013 exclusives and today announced the world premiere of their sixth “10 for 10” title, Michael Turner’s Fathom, next week at the convention. The publisher will feature two SDCC 2013 exclusive covers, a Fathom #1 cover by series artist Alex Konat along with Peter Steigerwald limited to 250 copies, and a rare Fathom #1 Aspen Century Edition by J. Scott Campbell and Steigerwald, highly limited to 100 editions.

In addition to the exclusive books, Aspen today revealed the latest Aspen Tour Print 2013 Anniversary Print by Michael Turner and Peter Steigerwald. This San Diego Comic-Con 2013 edition features a classic Turner and Steigerwald image re-mastered, and is limited to only 75 signed editions.

Aspen Comics recently revealed two new Aspen Splash 2013 exclusives, a BubbleGun #2 exclusive and a Fathom: The Elite Saga #1 exclusive.

Aspen will be unveiling more SDCC exclusives throughout the week in addition to some major announcements regarding their upcoming projects to be shown at the “Ten Years of Aspen Comics” panel on Friday at Comic Con.

SDCC 2013: Aspen Splash 2013 Exclusive

Aspen Comics revealed two new Aspen Splash 2013 exclusives for San Diego Comic Con 2013 today. The publisher will feature a special Michael Turner and Peter Steigerwald SDCC cover limited to 250 copies, in addition to an exclusive SDCC cover by Mike DeBalfo and Peter Steigerwald, limited to 200 copies. Both Mike DeBalfo and Peter Steigerwald will be appearing at the Aspen Comics Booth #2321 all weekend long as well.

Earlier in the week, Aspen revealed an exclusive Comic Con International: San Diego 2013 BubbleGun #2 cover by Pasquale Qualano and Peter Steigerwald, and a Fathom: The Elite Saga #1 cover by Joe Benitez and Peter Steigerwald.

Aspen Comics has revealed their second San Diego Comic Con 2013 exclusive item, a BubbleGun #2 cover by Pasquale Qualano and Peter Steigerwald, only available at the Aspen Comics Booth #2321 and limited to 200 copies, with quantities made available on the AspenStore.com as well. BubbleGun creator and writer Mark Roslan will be appearing at the Aspen Comics Booth all week long during the con as well.

Aspen Matthews is attempting to find solace above the surface by distancing herself from the demons of her past. Kiani is imprisoned within the underwater capitol city of Muria. And Killian is in search of his missing wife Anya, and his newborn child Anika, who fled their home in his absence. Yet, all of their paths will soon collide as the child’s true nature could lead to immense power falling into the wrong hands, and those in search of her will stop at nothing to obtain her!

Aspen Reveals Independence Day Exclusive Cover

Following on the heels of recent sell out holiday exclusive covers, Aspen is offering a new set of AspenStore.com exclusive items to celebrate the upcoming Fourth of July. Starting on July 4^th, Aspen will be offering an exclusive Fathom: The Elite Saga #3 Independence Day 2013 cover and print by Mike DeBalfo and Peter Steigerwald, limited to 200 copies and 75 print editions respectively.

Fathom: The Elite Saga is Aspen’s all new weekly summer event book featuring Fathom’s most popular characters in one massive storyline leading into this July’s All New Fathom #1, in celebration of Fathom’s 15-year anniversary.

Aspen will also be revealing further Independence Day exclusive items as the holiday draws closer. Aspen strongly encourages fans to purchase their exclusives as soon as possible, as recent Aspen holiday exclusives have sold out quickly.
