As you grow up, you begin to form what will become your identity. As you learn about your family, you actually find out about yourself. This si where we understand how we are the way we are. That is why it is important, that you have people who can guide you.

As you search for answers, those who have been there can guide you.  That is why teachers are important and why family history is as well.  So what happens when you find something new bout yourself and you find out that there is a great burden that may come with it? In Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant #1, Kamala is about to find out how her world is going to change as she becomes an X-Man.

Kamala has gone through a lot lately. She died. She was ressurected. She found out she was a mutant as well as being an Inhuman. This has caused her to to be unsettled and the comic reflects that with her fighting her nightmares as the comic opens up. She’s confronted by her identity and the important questions around them. But, that’s just a tease of the struggles to come as it’s the first day of a summer internship with Orchis! Having recently discovered that she is a mutant ,she joins the fight against the evil group and is tasked with investigating the corporation responsible for the Mutant Massacre. Something is going on by them within the campus, the question is what and it’s up to Kamala to discover it but she’s a hero at heart and what was supposed to be an undercover operation results in Kamala revealing Ms. Marvel has joined the X-Men as she saves some students resulting in a lot of backlash and raising flags for Orchis.

Overall, Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant #1 is a fun debut issue that is part coming of age and part spy thriller. The story that Iman Vellani and Sabir Pirzada have crafted is an absolute joy. The art by the creative team is gorgeous. Altogether, it’s a story that will exceed fan’s expectations.

SDCC 2023: Ms. Marvel, both Inhuman and Mutant and more revealed

Launching next month, Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant is the comic book series everyone is talking about! At the Marvel: Next Big Thing panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski and series co-writer Sabir Pirzada officially unveiled the main covers for the first three issues and debuted the all-new trailer!

Following the revelation in next week’s X-Men: Hellfire Gala 2023 #1 that Ms. Marvel is actually both an Inhuman AND a mutant, witness the start of extraordinary new era for the character in Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant, a four-issue limited series co-written by the MCU’s own Kamala Khan, Iman Vellani, and Sabir Pirzada, who was part of the recent Dark Web: Ms. Marvel limited series and Marvel Studios’ Ms. Marvel. Ever since Kamala Khan took up her mantle as Jersey City’s greatest hero, fans have come to know her as an Inhuman. A Champion. An Avenger. And now, for the first time ever, fans will know her as…an X-MAN! This August, Ms. Marvel will return for her most pivotal and defining chapter yet, and it all kicks off with an all-new comic book series: Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant!

Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant will be a four-issue limited series co-written by Iman Vellani and Sabir Pirzada and drawn by artists Carlos Gomez and Adam Gorham. Covers will be drawn by Marvel legend Sara Pichelli, known for her stunning and acclaimed work on titles such as Ultimate Spider-Man.

After Kamala’s heroic sacrifice that saved the world in Amazing Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel’s tragic death sent heroes across the Marvel Universe in mourning. The Avengers, Spider-Man, Champions, and beyond came together to remember Kamala and Ms. Marvel’s life and legacy. But not all was as it seemed. Fans will finally start to learn the truth about Kamala’s mutant and Inhuman identity in the upcoming X-Men: Hellfire Gala #1 one-shot later this month!

After being brought back via Krakoan Resurrection Technology, Kamala is shocked to learn she is mutant. But before she has a chance to come to terms with this revelation, the catastrophic Fall of X will throw her world into chaos…and a secret mission on behalf of the X-Men.

Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant also marks the debut of Ms. Marvel’s new X-Men costume design, created by superstar artist Jamie McKelvie, who designed Carol Danvers’ iconic Captain Marvel suit and Kamala’s original Ms. Marvel look in the comics. Fans can get their first look at McKelvie’s new Ms. Marvel design, along with a stunning variant cover by artist Stanley “Artgerm” Lau. Review: Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight #1

Life is full of unexpected events that no one can see coming. As the most diligent people often plan and plan for contingencies, and still it does not cover everything. There things we cannot anticipate, and there are people we do not anticipate being part of those events either. This is exactly how life throws those curveballs at you, which is why I tend to believe anything can happen.

There are certain people that will come into your life although it seems like it can take a millennia before you realize their purpose. As this is when you realize you can only control your own actions and react accordingly. This is where a strange alchemy between karma and purpose often intertwine. In Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight, Kamala is lead to find Marc, to hunt down a diabolical threat.

We are taken to New York City, where a swarm of tiny robots attacks a woman in an alley, and leaves a message for Moon Knight, “The Harvest is coming!”. The next night, Ms Marvel is tracking down those samer robots, who incidentally attacked Wolverine and is lead to Moon Knight’s storefront, where he hears the grievances of those who dwell in this neighborhood.  They decide to team up together and hunt them, as the bots qucily adapt, the two use water to counteract them this time, while electricity helped the last time. Knowing that they are outnumbered, Moon Knight enlists the help of another disciple of Konshu, Hunter’s Moon, who offers a hand in neutralizing the threat once and for all.  By issue’s end, they stop the threat,  but another element’s of the main perpetrator’s plan has gone into play.

Overall, Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight is a fun mystery that uses superheroes a little differently. The story by Houser is exciting. The art by the different creators is awe inspiring. Altogether, a story that is only one piece to a grander mystery.
