Vault Comics Rebuilds the Night Sky with Sera and the Royal Stars

Vault Comics is thrilled to announce Sera and the Royal Starsa stunning new fantasy epic comic book series written by Jon Tsuei, drawn by Audrey Mok, colored by Raúl Angulo, lettered by Jim Campbel, and designed by Tim Daniel

Civil war rages in the Empire of Parsa, and famine has struck. As the seasons refuse to turn, Princess Sera receives a vision from the deity Mitra telling her to find the Royal Stars and restore them to the heavens. Despite her kingdom and her troops’ need of her command, Sera embarks on a quest to find the fallen stars—now trapped on earth—and save her people from dearth and death.

Sera and the Royal Stars #1 will receive a Vault Vintage variant cover honoring the work of Natasha Alterici and her smash-hit, YALSA nominated Vault Comic series, Heathen. The Vault Vintage cover is drawn by Nathan Gooden and designed by Tim Daniel.

Sera and the Royal Stars#1 hits store shelves in July 2019.

RunLoveKill, Vol. 1 keeps readers on the edge of their seats

Fan-favorite writer Jon Tsuei teams up with artist Eric Canete for an all-new thriller/suspense that will hook readers and keep them on the edge of their seats in RunLoveKill, Vol. 1. This collects issues #1-4 into trade paperback and will be available in August.

In RunLoveKill, Vol. 1, a mysterious military organization known only as “The Origami,” is on the hunt for one of their former assassins: Rain Oshiro. Their stronghold on the city of Prygat is tightening and Rain has fewer than 24 hours to get out of their radius of influence before she’s trapped forever. Today’s Image Expo was not just a look back at was, but what will be coming, as the publisher attempts to take its momentum and capture even more of the market share.

  • Image finished the year with a double-digit market share

  • They reported a double digit year-to-year growth from 2013

  • Paul Jenkins has been announced as the new writer for Spawn.
  • James Robninson and Phillip Tan announce a new sci-fi series where humans go to war with God called Heaven.
  • Starve is announced by Brian Wood, Danijel Zezelj, and Dave Stewart
  • Black Road is announced by Brian Wood and Gary Brown.
  • 8House is mentioned, it’s created by Brandon Graham with art by Marion Churchland, Emma Rios, Hwei Lim and more. This series has been mentioned at previous events.
  • Brandon Graham announces Island, a new comics magazine.
  • Kelly Sue DeConnick and Emma Rios’ series Pretty Deadly will return with a second arc set during World War I.
