Jennifer Blood has survived one of her deadliest battles against organized crime yet, and starting this March with Jennifer Blood #6, the “Blood Debt” is due.

The Garth Ennis-created Jennifer Blood is a fan-favorite antiheroine with a mission to crack down on organized crime by any means necessary, and a secret identity unlike any other. In her latest return to comic book shelves, writer Fred Van Lente and artist Vincenzo Federici have led the character through a thrilling bloodbath of a critically acclaimed first arc. In the first five issues, she battled against undercover mob bosses in the town of Bountiful, as well as another hitwoman nemesis that could match her abilities.

Starting with issue #6 this March, Jennifer finds herself limping into a secret health clinic specializing in serving criminals. Once upon a time, Jennifer Blood was just like any other suburban housewife – except that she took vengeance to the streets, cleaning up the criminals connected to her past. Now she’s dead, or so it seems. That nail in the coffin doesn’t seem so conclusive when suddenly people start dropping like flies in the quiet cul-de-sacs of the town of Bountiful, Utah. When Bountiful just so happens to be an undercover town completely full of mobsters, Blood’s possible return could start a whole war! Who will end up as the apex predator in this concentrated pond of criminality?

Writer Fred Van Lente tackles this new tale, following Jennifer’s guest appearance in the smash hit DIE!namite Lives. He’s joined by Italian artistic maestro Vincenzo Federici. The creative team has had fun researching and comparing notes to make sure the Italian slang of the mobsters strives for authenticity.

The neatly trimmed lawns and white picket fences of Bountiful are no less a facade than Jennifer Blood’s old secret identity. Behind each window is a grizzled, semi-retired mafioso, but when neighbors start dying, they turn to new character and legendary assassin Giulietta Romeo to hunt down the suspected killer. Fellow Italian Lucio Parrillo delivers a stunning lead cover for the first issue. Rising star creators Lesley “Leirix” Li and Junggeun Yoon turn in gorgeous variants, showcasing Jennifer’s expansive arsenal. Dynamite Entertainment has announced the upcoming release of Jennifer Blood Omnibus. The first four volumes of the happy homemaker by day / violent vigilante by night collected together for the first time. The 760-page tome comes from the brilliant minds of comic icon Garth Ennis and fan-favorite writer Al Ewing and is filled with the pulse-pounding action that made this one of Dynamite’s best-selling series. The omnibus comes to shelves this coming March.
