Marvel Dice Masters: Deadpool is Out Now and Here’s the Set List!

marvel-dice-masters-deadpool-2WizKids, Mike Elliott, and Eric M. Lang are at it again with their latest release, Marvel Dice Masters: Deadpool, now available in North American retail stores!

Marvel Dice Masters: Deadpool features the debut of the Inhumans in Dice Masters! Another special feature in this set is that every card in Marvel Dice Masters: Deadpool has a foil version.

Players can now collect foils for each of their favorite characters or just use them to deck out their favorite team.

I’ve unboxed a few packs already and will have my full thoughts on the set and key cards a little later. Check out the set list below!

The first feed featured 109 common cards, 51 uncommon, 17 rares, 1 super rare, and 23 foils. The second feed featured 111 common cards, 48 uncommon, 15 rares, 2 super rares, and 24 foils. Yes, I missed some cards somewhere, but the first box definitely had one super rare.

Check out the set list below!

WizKids Shows Off Marvel Dice Masters Deadpool: Storm, Multiple Man, and Fantomex

WizKids‘ next Dice Masters set, Marvel Dice Masters: Deadpool, is out in November and the game publisher has been showing off some of the cards and dice you’ll find within. On their Instagram account, the company has revealed three new common cards for Storm, Multiple Man, and Fantomex which are all a part of the X-Men team affiliation.

Storm: Thunderclap is a two cost BOLT character whose fielding cost for the first two levels is a cheap 0. But, it’s the card’s ability that could be the most interesting. When you field her, you can spin target ? energy in your opponent’s Reserve Pool to a BOLT face. It’s a combo card, it’s just a question of what combo to use it with and with more and more cards requiring you to keep energy in your Reserve Pool for defensive measures, this could be an interesting one.

Multiple Man: Duplicitous Nature is harder to figure out what it does. The card is a 3 MASK and has Underdog that involves doing something with a die from your Used pile when fielded. I could make guesses as to what that is, but it’d only be guesses.

Fantomex: E.V.A. is our final card and I believe that’s a X-Men symbol in its ability (though looks Hydra too) and it says character dice not of that type can’t block Fantomex unless the defending player moves one die from their Prep Area to their bag for each Fantomex character die they declare blockers for. At a cost of four SHIELD to purchase and a relatively cheap fielding cost for the stats, this is an interesting card, especially for drafts.

Unboxing: Marvel Dice Masters: Deadpool

Marvel Dice Masters: Deadpool not only features characters from the world of Deadpool, but also Weapon X, X-Men, and more. It also features the debut of Inhumans!

We crack open 10 booster packs to show off what’s inside and you can expect. The set is out November 2016.

WizKids Shows Off Agent Carter, Lady Deadpool, Angela, Blind Al, and Bob from Marvel Dice Masters: Deadpool

The latest Dice Masters set, Marvel Dice Masters: Deadpool sees release in early November and WizKids is showing off some of the cards we can expect from the new set. On their Instagram account, the game publisher has shown off three new cards, Agent Carter: Answered the Call, Lady Deadpool: Earth-3010, and Angela: Raised by an Angel. That’s two rares and a super rare that’ll be in the set and all three characters are new to the game.

Yesterday the company showed off a common and uncommon in Blind Al: Stay in the Deadhut and Bob, Agent of Hydra: Hydra Doesn’t Offer Dental.

Blind Al is a 3 MASK to purchase that deals damage to an opponent when Blind Al is dealt damage. There’s a mechanic in there where you could ping Blind Al yourself and deal your opponent damage due to that. It looks like the card is cheap to field too, but makes this an interesting thing to explore.

Bob, Agent of Hydra is a 3 FIST that gives Deadpool Teams Fast when Bob is fielded. It’s an interesting card, but really is only useful if you’re running a Deadpool team, which I expect we’ll see a bunch of when the set is released.

Agent Carter is a cheap cost 2 to purchase and is a cheap die to field with good attack and defense stats and the ability to increase the cost to field Sidekick as characters while she’s active. Depending on the purchasing cost, this could be a good card to cripple decks that rely on Sidekick characters. I can see this character becoming a regular in games.

Lady Deadpool is a 5 SHIELD to purchase and we can only see the first two fielding costs. The wording of the card is a little funky, but it seems to allow you to use an action die twice. It says “bursts” which is what’s confusing to me, but that means you’re getting the double amount of energy to spend or double the ability, which could be devastating in a game.

Finally, Angela is a cost 4 BOLT again with cheap fielding and solid stats. This is an interesting card that allows you to deal 1 damage to target character die or player for each Angela die you rolled that shows an energy face after each Roll and Reroll Step. There’s an interesting mechanic there, but for the 4 BOLT cost to field it may be too weak to really make a major impact considering there’s other ways to do similar and greater damage.

WizKids Begins to Tease Their Deadpool Dice Masters Set

Out in November, the next Marvel Dice Masters set is based on the world of Deadpool. WizKids has started to tease what we can expect in the set by showing off by the uncommon Dogpool and common Deadpool. The set gives us a “Deadpool” team (shocker) with cards that’ll play off of that, and it looks like at least one new keyword “Deadly.”

They’ve also revealed the first Inhumans card, Lockjaw! The common card looks to be an interesting spin on the name the die mechanic that can do some serious damage to weenie swarm builds.

The set not only features characters from the world of Deadpool and Weapon X, but also some Spider-Verse characters and the first appearance of Inhumans. Super rares will continue the “What If?” theme. The set also features foil versions of every card like the recent DC Comics Dice Masters: Green Arrow and The Flash.

Also in the pipeline is new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Dice Masters with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Dice Masters: Heroes in a Half Shell Box Set. Like the first box set, this one is geared towards two and four players and I’m sure will deliver like the first set. Hopefully we’ll now be able to field a full team of Turtle characters (as of now you can only do seven of the eight needed).
