Battle Chasers #10 gets variant covers by J. Scott Campbell, Chris Bachalo, Skottie Young, and Mirka Andolfo

Joe Madureira‘s fantasy series returns in an action-packed new story in the upcoming Battle Chasers #10 this June from Image Comics. This exciting new chapter—with interior art by game-and-comics sensation Ludo Lullabi—will feature a line-up of variant covers by some of the hottest names in comics including, J. Scott Campbell, Chris Bachalo, Skottie Young, and Mirka Andolfo.

Battle Chasers #10 tells the bloody tale of retired swordsman Garrison and the fugitive Red Monika as they face off against Maestro’s gang of supernatural killers-the Martial Paladins! This long-awaited tenth issue is bursting at the seams with 36 pages of story and no ads!

Battle Chasers returns in June and Celebrates 25 years!

The bestselling, sales hit Battle Chasers by Joe Madureira will return to shelves this June featuring artwork by Ludo Lullabi and published by Image Comics. Battle Chasers #10 will also showcase variant covers by J. Scott Campbell, Humberto Ramos, Chris Bachalo, Skottie Young, and Mirka Andolfo.

New new issues with Madureira mentioning bringing in a new artist was revealed in 2019 as part of the Battle Chasers: Nightwar Kickstarter campaign. The Kickstarter for Battle Chasers: Nightwar, a video game spin-off, was launched in September of 2015 and went on to raise $856,354 from 14,175 backers. Part of the project was new issues #10 to #12. While the video game was released, the comics have not with no communication regarding them since 2019 leaving backers angry and frustrated.

Battle Chasers #10 promises fans an action-packed new story, with art by Lullabi. In this new story arc, titled “Martial Law,” readers are introduced to the bloody tale of retired swordsman Garrison and the fugitive Red Monika as they face off against Maestro’s gang of supernatural killers—the Martial Paladins!

The Battle Chasers Anthology trade paperback saw an unheard of sales spike upon its release in 2019 and has gone back to print multiple times in order to keep up with feverish enthusiasm for the series. Now Image will bring this popular series back to readers and continue the story in this new story arc.

Battle Chasers #10 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, June 14. The Battle Chasers Anthology trade paperback (ISBN: 978-1534315228) is available now at local comic book shops and independent bookstores, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, and Indigo.

Terror comes to DC Comics with Knight Terrors

Horror will overwhelm the DC Universe this Summer in Knight Terrors, a new event announced during this week’s ComicsPro. The series will be written by Joshua Williamson with art by Howard Porter, Guillem March and more.

Knight Terrors begins in July when Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman find the body of one of their earliest enemies at the Hall of Justice. Their investigation takes them past the land of the living, beyond the land of the dead, into a realm of nightmares . The only way to save the world is to call for the help of an unlikely hero, Deadman.

The event will take over the DC line in July and August and will feature multiple two-issue miniseries. Each series will feature a DC hero and villain confronting their worst nightmares in a “Nightmare Realm.” Whatever happens in the Nightmare Realm also is reflected in the Waking World!

Artist Chris Bachalo is returning to DC for the first time in over 20 years and teaming up with Williamson and Porter to help give fans an early look at Knight Terrors on Free Comic Book Day, May 6, with the Dawn of DC Knight Terrors Free Comic Book Day Special Edition. After a long night of crime-fighting with his father, Batman, Damian Wayne sleeps. But horrors invade his teenage dreams. Damian has seen a lot, but there is something different about this nightmare.
