D&D Attack Wing is Dungeons & Dragons themed, and brings the heroes, villains, and monsters of the D&D universe to life in fierce miniatures combat. Along with the D&D Attack Wing Starter Set, seven expansions are also available at launch to help players dominate the skies in ferocious aerial duels!

The D&D Attack Wing Starter Set, available at participating retailers and hobby shops for $49.99, includes three pre-painted dragons, maneuver dials, numerous upgrade cards and introductory scenarios to help you and your friends take flight and duel in fantastic acrobatic aerial battles.

WizKids and Perfect World Team for Neverwinter in-game content!

WizKids Games is partnering with Perfect World Entertainment, Inc. to offer free in-game content to players of Perfect World’s free-to-play action MMORPG, Neverwinter, set in the Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms universe from Wizards of the Coast. Starting this fall, WizKids will include a variety of unlock-codes for Neverwinter digital items inside the packaging for its various D&D product lines, beginning with the D&D Attack Wing Organized Play Month One event. These codes can be redeemed by players for an array of digital in-game items in the Neverwinter MMORPG. Likewise, Perfect World will begin offering promo items from the WizKids D&D-themed products to Neverwinter players in the coming months.

To launch this promotion, WizKids is offering unlock- codes to fans who take part in its upcoming D&D Attack Wing OP Month One event starting November 12. Players who take part in the first OP event at retail stores will automatically receive a Vanguard Starter Pack for the Neverwinter MMORPG, while winners of the First, Judge and Fellowship Prizes will also receive a Fey Wolf Mount.

Dungeons & Dragons: Attack Wing Storyline Organized Play

Wizkids‘ newest game, Dungeons & Dragons: Attack Wing will see its monthly Storyline Organized Play program begin October 29. The game itself launches on October 1. The minatures game uses similar mechanics to the Star Trek: Attack Wing game, but set in the fantasy world and features dragons among other units.

The theme of the first organized play is Tyranny of Dragons which is the first major event for Wizard of the Coast‘s Dungeons & Dragons.

Retailers will be order monthly kits that contain limited edition competitive and participation prizes as well as rules to use in the monthly events. Each kit supports up to 10 players. The first kit features a Large White Dragon, 10 limited edition participation prizes, and an organized play addendum/instruction sheet. Subsequent months include limited edition versions of the Large Brass Dragon, Large Bronze Dragon, Large Hieracosphinx, Large Solar Angel, and Large Chimera.

Stores will also have the option of purchasing limited edition blind D&D: Attack Wing Tyranny of Dragons boosters, which will contain exclusive content for sealed booster play and are not for resale, beginning in month two.

Stores who participate will also have the option to purchase the limited edition Attack Wing: Tiamat figure, which comes with cards, movement dials, a Dungeons & Dragons: Attack Wing base and token sheets. For each Month Six OP kit a store orders, the store can order up to two of the figure, which is not tied directly to the OP Program, and can be sold to the public, or used as grand prize figures for the tournament. The figures will release just before the Month Six kit arrives.

There have been two waves of expansions for the game already announced. You can expect to start to see that in November.

WizKids Partners with Asmodee for German Board Games!

WizKids Games today announced that the company has entered into an partnership agreement with Asmodee Germany to localize several award winning game titles.

Asmodee becomes WizKids German language partner in Europe for games including the Mage Knight Board Game, Attack Wing: Dungeons & Dragons, Quarriors! Dice Building Game and Star Trek: Attack Wing. This is just the beginning as WizKids said they’d be expanding their plans in the future.
